Stayed on a Groupon deal for part of a Christmas present getaway.
On arrival attentive service, booking wasn't easily found mainly because the wife of 2 years had booked it in her maiden name. Got there in the end.
The room was as far away perhaps as possible, a sprawling hotel with long corridors.
Room is fully functional, a great power shower, hair dryer, iron and board, lcd tv and all the necessary. Only down side is that it is a large room and should easily accommodate a king size bed yet normal bed with only one bed side table and lamp.
You don't spend your life in there so no big deal. Part of the offer was dinner inclided. A nice 3 portions although the third was paid for because the first 2 were small and pretty.
On site bar prices were surprisingly low considering you are a caprive market and service was great.
Onto the following day and breakfast. Typical buffet layout, a great arrange of choice but waiting time for items that had run out, on the first day bacon, on the second sausages. Staff obviously doing there best but no communication between those on the floor and kitchen. Hot food was at best luke warm.
Went for a jaunt and decided to indulge I the on-site gym. Basic equipment but sufficed, pool was adequate with a sauna and Jacuzzi. All acceptable enough.
So a two night stay. A false fire alarm In the middle of the night with no in put from staff but you can't help the little s23t attending the wedding pressing red buttons or the sneaky idiot smoking in a room.
Overall a pleasant stay and sure i would stay again.

Beautifully situated, and currently being renovated, we had a one night stay here to meet family from across the country. The rooms are good sized & comfortable. Ours still smelt a little of renovation but was pleasant. Showers are good and plenty of hot water.
We used the swimming pool (towels provided when you sign in) - lockers require pound coin. It’s not big, but nice for a splash around with children which is what we wanted. Didn’t use the spa facilities.
The restaurant was disappointing for evening meal. The pate starter was very salty, the cauliflower in the salad was solid, fish & chips very mediocre, and the chicken katsu meat was thin & overcooked. We had preordered but DO check if you have allergies/dietary requirements. I wasn’t 100% convinced that the GF labelled options were being treated as necessary for coeliacs - even after a conversation with the chef.
The staff are very friendly, but we were told 3 different times for pool/breakfast options, and although we had asked to change our meal time due to having small children with us, this hadn’t been noted. So the admin is rather lacking!!
Breakfast menu is varied but we had to wait a few times for hot food to be replenished. They found GF bread for my daughter (but I had to ask - it would be good to have a notice saying that it was available)
All in all, a nice place but the food offer & confusing messaging lets it down.

Our family group of 8 adults had our first reunion for 2 years, with a Groupon deal. The hotel is beautifully situated in large grounds and was very clean. Our rooms, contrary to some reviews, were very well maintained with everything we needed, apart from a rather 'sad' welcome tray including paper cups. The food was excellent, my wife's steak was one of the best we have tasted and the staff everywhere were very pleasant.
We had a swim and sauna, whic was very well managed and we could keep distanced from the few others in our time slot.
The only problem was that they had a large party that took up their designated room plus most of the bar area with children and adults rushing about with no thought for social distancing. The very loud disco went on until 1.00am, which was not acceptable and I tried to call Reception and the Duty Manager, but got no reply.
The next morning we were all back wearing masks and distancing which seemed a bit pointless.
This was a great shame as it left us with a negative feeling after a lovely weekend.

Eastwood hall Nottingham is a great place to stay excellent facilities and great staff
We stayed June 1 2021 for a two night wowcher deal which includes a 3 course meal on the first first night and 20% drinks discount but only when ordered with your meal
The food was of good quality although the choice was limited we had a starter of soup also smoked makeral followed by chicken supreme for mains and a sticky toffee pudding for desert .
also included in the deal was breakfast for the two mornings.
A special mention regarding covid secure we found Eastwood hall to be following very strict covid policies all staff worn masks, gloves lots of sanitising stations all rooms cleaned prior to your stay are sealed with a label to advise you that rooms have been cleaned

Excellent facilities including swimming pool ,jacuzzi, steam room and sauna.
Again following covid secure procedure you have to pre book your one hour slot for swimming etc and once again staff clean changing rooms etc after each slot .
The staff are few in numbers due to some still being on furlong I believe
Most staff members doubling up on duties but all are working hard to please their guests
A very special mention for Charlotte who is so pleasant hard working and always cheerful and also luke and all the staff
Thank you for making our first stay in a hotel since this pandemic started so wonderful it was so almost like normal .
We highly recommend Eastwood hall and will certainly be back again soon.
Mr & Mrs Harper

The Hall is a large complex aimed mainly at conferences. My stay was not the smoothest of events. Firstly I arrived in the car park to signs telling me not to take my luggage until I had checked in. I assumed that I would park somehwhere else for easier room access, but no. The sign is to discourage people who check in early from bringing their luggage. But the sign doesn't say that. In all fairness they did offer to get my luggage but wouldn't it be easier to reword the sign?
I arrived at 5:00pm not having eaten since breakfast to be told that I could not eat until 8:15. I pressed for an earlier table (for one) to be told no because there was a large group in. I pressed again and was then told that room service and the bar menu were available immediately. Why didn't they say that in the first place? I was on a DBB rate and they confirmed that I could eat in the bar utilising my dinner included rate.
I arrived at the bar ready to eat. The bar staff could not tell me how the dinner rate worked in the bar area in terms of cost/allowance. The receptionist walked past and she didn't know either. The friendly bar person went off to the restaurant to find out. The food in the bar was OK. I passed the restaurant and was surprised to see it was almost empty. What is it like when it's busy, I wonder if they stagger bookings when it's empty?
The room was a little worse for wear and not very clean. There was dust on the bedside lamp and dust webs above the light in the bathroom. A thorough cleaning regime is clearly not in place and monitored. The lamp above my table at breakfast also has many dust webs inside. Breakfast was OK.
I walked past five house staff on my way to check out. Two greeted me, three simply ignored me.
The TV in my room was not working. Someone attended and advised that the whole corridor was down so more investigation was needed. This was at 5:00pm. I returned to my room at 9:00pm. There was still no TV and no communication. Wouldn't a note into each affected room been nice just to explain why the issue had not been sorted.
The DBB rate was very competitive; maybe I understand why.

Dear Keith682 Thank you for taking out the time to leave feedback on your recent stay at Eastwood Hall. I am dissapointed to read that you did not enjoy your experience with us. The signs are indeed to make it easier to access your room, as once you are aware of your room number you are able to park outside of the room. We would not discourage anyone wanting to check in early not to bring in luggage. I very much appreciate all of the comments that you have made, in which i will be investigating immediately in order to seek improvements moving forward. Many thanks Kieran Roe Operations Manager

I delivered a two day training course to 12 delegates and made use of the hotel to stay in and used the hotels extensive suite of meeting/conference rooms to deliver the training. The room I stayed in was clean and comfortable, the only criticism I have was the WiFi signal strength, as I was at the end of a corridor, was quite weak.
The bar food was good and the breakfast in the main dining room was excellent. The buffet lunch for the delegates was also very good with options for vegetarians and vegans.
The meeting/conference room I delivered the training in was very well equipped, the IT and screens worked very well. I was also provided with flip charts and pens, bottled water, small bowls of sweets, pencils and pads. The staff who looked after the meeting/conf rooms could not have been more helpful and the staff generally around the hotel were very good. Reception staff were excellent. I was very impressed overall, and I can thoroughly recommend Eastwood Hall for business trips/conferences or for training.

The room was dated, the bed was like sleeping on safety mat. When we arrived the room still had a poo in the toilet. The bath was damaged, bathroom grouting was filthy, doors were damaged and the set of draws collapsed on me.

I paid on average about £75 a night for quality that I would expect in a £30 a night hotel. I wouldn’t ever stay again.

I informed staff off what the room was like and I wasn’t happy they did move me to a room which was equally as bad. They didn’t offer a room upgrade or a discount no they said I could keep the old room key “for the lights” brilliant. There was no customer care or understanding for what I wanted to happened.

Also the room was missing everything as advertised. It didn’t have a safe, iron, hair dryer and it didn’t have the safe. Electrical sockets didn’t work in the room and neither did the TV remote.

Stay clear, a premier inn would have been miles better.

My husband and I had booked a 2 night stay in a superior room and were looking forward to chilling out for weekend and using the facilities. We were not prewarned that the pool etc had to be prebooked and you would be given an hour’s slot. On arrival we overheard a member of staff telling another party of guests that the Pool was fully booked! So that was a great start…. Not. On booking in we were told the restaurant was fully booked for the evening. Incredible, can’t even accommodate feeding all their guests. We could however sit in the lounge and order food from the same menu. Unfortunately all the tables are low coffee tables so it was not an ideal alternative but all that we were given. Our room was adequate but by far not the superior we had booked. I’ve been in much nicer premier lodge rooms. The bedding was ok but the complimentary refreshment tray was abysmal. Two teabags, two flavoured teas and some coffee sachets. Milk was sparse too. No biscuits or water which you would expect in a superior room. The doors to all the individual rooms closed with a loud bang. This needs to be addressed as those That don’t go to bed until after midnight were waking other rooms up. The doors need to be a soft close. Breakfast! Well what can I say! Queuing for half an hour just to get into the restaurant, another queue inside to the buffet area where members of staff were serving the food. I know there were restrictions in place but the management and smooth running of this hotel is very lacking. We gave up queuing for breakfast and checked out, we hadn’t even been there for 24 hours. This was a first for us! We won’t be rushing back that is safe to say.

Another day .. another Groupon hotel deal and wow another great few days. In spite of the current road works that prevent you going direct to the hotel its worth driving the extra few miles around the lanes to come in from the opposite direction.
From the moment we booked in to the moment we left we found all the staff we encountered to be welcoming, warm, sincere and helpful and Management should let them know.
The room (114) was well presented, clean and tidy with all the usual items. Housekeeping did an excellent job even though we never got the chance to say so. Bed was very comfortable. Work was being carried out around the bar area during our stay but signage and taping off was good; workmen were pleasant as well.
Food on both night and at breakfast was excellent, steaks were cooked just right (obviously been to "steak school", however think they should take a course at a "mushy pea school" to complement the fish and chips.
Service was brilliant.
Made use of the pool, steam room and sauna which were all clean, my only complain (with a small c) would be about the men's changing room to ask for the blue mats to be extended around the locker area.
Definitely one to visit again .. so many offers .. so little time

Attending an exhibition at the venue my wife and I needed a snack so we ordered a chicken sandwich and a bowl of chips each

The cost was £21 so we were expecting something pretty impressive

We got two dry sandwiches with no butter or mayo, dry, reformed chicken a few crisps, and some bits of rocket and cucumber with no dressing

No condiments or sauces.

It was awful. Probably the worst sandwich I’ve ever had. I’ve paid £2 in Tesco for a well packed chicken and avocado sandwich which was way better than the tasteless, dry offering I got at Eastwood hall
