Free Wifi now, very clean room and bathroom. Room was cleaned every day while we were eating breakfast. Fresh towels were provided each day. Small kitchenette in the room. We needed a corkscrew and called Pamela at 10pm and she came down with a corkscrew within 5 minutes. She was extremely accommodating! Pamela went out of her way to do everything possible to make sure out stay was perfect. She even provided bathrobes. The breakfast was served on the sunny rooftop terrace and was very large and different each day- it was delicious and included fresh, organic fruit from her family's farm. We are both vegan and Pamela went out of her way to accommodate our dietary needs. She made fresh almond milk for us each morning and gave us special local cookies that were vegan. (normally the breakfast is not vegan) Parking was free and easy right in front of the house. It's a narrow road so you have to park as close to the side as possible, but for me this was not a problem at all. The B&B is about a 5 minute walk to the main square and castle. The B&B is not air-conditioned but it doesn't need to be- because the house is ancient and the walls are made of stone about 1 meter thick, it felt like it was air-conditioned and was always cool inside even when it was the height of summer outside. The room had a little refrigerator and Pamela provided free drinks for us. She sold olive oil in the lobby from her family's farm. We loved it so much that we didn't want to leave. The room was quiet and there was a private bathroom attached to the room. There were vaulted stone ceilings and the house had been lovingly restored. Great value for money!…
Stayed four nights and really enjoyed both the accomodation and the town itself. Charming rooms in an historic building located in a quite and peaceful local neighbourhood - a short stroll from the center with many really good solid authentic restaurants. Pamela the owner was young and very enthusiastic and full of passion for her region. Breakfasts were fresh and nice , but they would have been greatly enhanced by a little selection of cured meats......unless of course they were available unknown to us. Would return without hesitation.
The room was nice and the terrace was cold because of the wind. However, it was very quiet and a peaceful stay. On arrival, however, noone responded on the door bell or on the phone. 15 minutes later they called us back and we could check in. Apart from that all was in fact fine and it was not a big problem
We had a lovely 3 night stay. Pamela greeted us on our arrival and took us up to our room. We had been impressed by the pictures on the website but the reality was even better. The rooms were immaculately clean, well designed and furnished. The fridge was stocked with beer, water and juice and was a welcome inclusion to the room. Breakfast was served on the roof top terrace. Out of our six B&B’s on this trip Sant’ Anna surpassed them all with the freshness of the ingredients and the care taken over the presentation. We would recommend anyone wishing a quiet and relaxed stay to come to Sant’ Anna. The location was perfect for touring this part of Puglia and Pamela was extremely helpful with suggestions of beaches to visit and local highlights.
I booked 3 nights at Sant'Anna because it was ranked number one with great reviews and it was in an area of Puglia that I wanted to stay in. Our stay exceeded expectations. The value of this little B&B is outstanding. The room was beautiful decorated and the bed was wonderful. Finding Sant'Anna by car was a little difficult but street parking in front of and on the side was ample and safe. Pamela the hostess was delightful. She was kind enough to surprise me with a beautiful flower for my birthday. She also recommended two outstanding restaurants which were within easy walking distance Arrosteria Borgo Antico and Osteria del Capitolo. Ceglie Messapica turned out to be a quaint little town near Ostuni and in the Trulli region. I considered staying in Ostuni or Alberobello but Ceglie turned out to be a much better place for us. It doesn't seem to be a big tourist town but it offered exactly what we wanted. We are already planning a return visit to Ceglie and Sant'Anna and charming Pamela.…
