It takes one hour express bus from Osaka to Arima and then a 5 min shuttle to the hotel. We stayed at the western and japanese room. Room is big. 2 beds on the western bedroom and 4 people can sleep on floor on the Japanese side. View from the room is beautful and so is the hotel

One of the main highlights of my recent trip was a stay at the Arima Grand. It had the full suite of a resort with lavish interiors, good onsens, stellar dinner service and spacious rooms. Japanese hospitality at its best!

Upon arrival in Arima Onsen, phone the hotel and they wi

I stayed couple of time in this hotel and this hotel is famous old fashioned in this area. So my impression, the room is feel old but if Onsen "Hot spring" is your first priority. I will recommend you to choose this hotel. Cause they maintain Onsen well, means I don't feel antiq

For every trip to Japan there's always one thing I make sure is on my itinerary - a ryokan stay with a much needed soak in the onsen. Arima Onsen is an important destination to onsen aficionados and I was really looking forward to it.

I didn't really notice the beneficial effect

The arima grand hotel is a perfect family vacatin spot. I've been to other hot spring hotels but this one had huge rooms, great on-sen (hot spring) and a lot of attention to details. The Japanese dinner set was nice but the western style dinner set is really just ok. The hotel

Private Family Onsen - kinsen (金泉), "gold spring")
What is the best way to go from Kansai (KIX) airport to Sannomiya Train Station?
Hello! So it is possible for non-hotel guests to book the private onsen ? Thank u!
I'm thinking catching ferry directly from Kansas international to arima onsen for two night stay. Would ferry be the fastest? Do they always have seats on the day? I'm arriving Kansai international from Seoul around 3:00pm flying Tway airline (budget airlines) And which hotel close to arima onsen station would be good to stay? I have six traveling together and there are one 70 yrs old elderly and a 3 yrs baby coming along so efficient and hassle free would be great.
Hello, Arima Onsen is located is middle of Rokko mountain, so it doesn't have direct ferry to go there. There are several way to go Arima Onsen, however ferry is one of idea. Ferry shuttle from Kansa- International Air port goes to Kobe air port, means you need to extra transit by using Port Liner to Sannomiya Station and switch to bus to Arima Onsen. I would recommend 1 transits "May possible has traffic jam around Kobe area " 1, Kansai International airport to Sannomiya Station "Shuttle Bus" 2, Sannomiya Station- Arima Onsen Eki "Shinki or Hankyu bus" *Pls check the last bus from Sannomiya Sta. to ArimaOnsen Eki. Then you would wait Hotel shuttle, which you reserved hotel. * some hotels does own shuttle bus, but some doesn't. So you may check to hotel about shuttle bus. Arima Grand hotel owns shuttle bus. If you want comfortable to go Arima, then choose bus. However you want to fix time schedule, then choose ferry or all train to go. Good luck. Yoshi

Dear Sir, We are only intending to enjoy the onsen for a day trip only. Please advise if we need to book in advance or can we just walk in on the day? Thank you.
What's the best way to get from Kansai Airport to the hotel? I'm planning a trip to the hotel and my flight is schedule to land at 4:30 pm.
Fastest and easiest way will be from Kansai Airport -> Kobe Airport -> Sannomiya Station -> Arima Onsen. Instruction step 1: If you are landing at Terminal 2 then take a shuttle bus to Terminal 1, otherwise heading out to the North wing on the 1st Floor at Terminal 1. Look for a high speed boat "Bay Shuttle Ferry" office/booth to purchase a ticket from Kansai Airport to Kobe Airport . Ticket for visitors to Japan have 45% off which is only 1000yen oneway per adult (half of the time and price if you are taking a bus via Osaka, ask to see if the ticket including the Port Liner ticket (like a Monorail here in the US) from Kobe Airport to Sannomiya Station? if not, you can purchase the ticket at the port liner station. No12 bus stop for departure right outside of the building. This shuttle bus will take you to Kansai Aiport Pier departure. Step 2: When the ferry arrived at Kobe Aiport Kaijo Access Terminal Pier, follow the sign to Port Liner. Takes Port Liner to the final stop Sannomiya Station. When you arrived at Sannomiya station, exit out of the building to the left you will see the bus terminal at ground level. Go into the bus ticket to purchase a bus ticket to Airma Onsen. Bus ticket is 700yen one way and express is 770yen without any stops in between. Bus No 4 line is just right outside of the ticket office to Arima Onsen. Step 3. Once you are off the bus at Airma Onsen, you will see a bus stop right across the street and wait there for the hotel shuttle. The hotel shuttle comes around every 15-20mins and will have the hotel name on it. You won't miss it, and hope this information helps and enjoy your trip there.
