Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stayed for 6 nights with my wife: 1. Booked the Corner King Room - King sized bed with comfortable sheets and pillows - Room size was decent. Bigger than the room we booked in their Tokyo hotel (Royal Park Ginza Corridor). - Shower area is separate from the toilet - Hot and cold shower worked well. - Bath tub in the shower area with nice view of the City. - Bidet worked well - We stayed at the 17h floor - Shampoo and body wash were good. 2. Hotel lobby is at the 15th floor. You need to transfer to another set of elevators to go to the rooms. 3. Very nice and spacious lobby. There's also a restaurant and bar near the lobby area. 4. Our room view was awesome. 5. Location is very good. About 5-7 min walk to Hommachi and Yodayabashi station. A lot of restaurants near the hotel. 7-Eleven and Family Mart were just across (opposite sides of the hotel). 6. Staff were friendly. Some can speak a bit of English. The luggage we shipped from their Tokyo hotel branch were already in the room when we checked in. Super cool and very convenient. 7. They provide 2 water bottles daily though you cannot request additional water so you should buy big water bottles and store it in the room. 8. Very efficient check-in and check-out. 9. They make up the room daily. 10. They provided pajamas. Very comfortable to use. 11. You can track the available washing machine on the TV in the room. You can also check if your laundry is done. Cool feature. 12. Aircon and heater worked well. Good location in Midosuji. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Osaka.

The rooms feel cramped for a family, even with a reservation for three beds, making it challenging to store the suitcase properly. What's disappointing is that, while enjoying sparkling drinks at the bar, they tried to charge for nuts—a typically complimentary snack at most bars. After discussing with the staff, the manager eventually waived the fee. Perhaps the management should reconsider this policy, especially considering the bar was either empty or frequented by individuals only drinking water. Sad to experience that at our first stay at this Hotel.

The 15th floor lobby is bright and inviting and the desk staff courteous and helpful. The rooms are on the dark side and, fully carpeted, a bit dusty. The bed was comfortable. The dining room was out of commission for renovations when we visited and breakfast was served in the bar area. We were surprised that there is no room service offered, further limiting hotel dining options, and the bar would not permit drinks to be carried to rooms. A kind of inexplicable lapse in service and hospitality. A nice enough hotel, but perhaps falling a bit below their own standards.

Absolutely beautiful! Everything was perfect, from check-in to the spotless cleanliness of this hotel. I just can't say enough about how happy I was with this choice. The night-time view of Osaka was spectacular. Walking distance to most attractions. The service by the wonderful team at the desk and the bar and restaurant.

Great hotel overall, location is very nice as its secondary enterance opens directly to an amazing shopping street where you feel great walking and experience the high life of osaka. Ideally far away from the night life district that you dont have to worry about noise pollution, yet you do not hesitate to commute back and forth from it whether by train or taxi. Choose the correct room and you will get a great view of osaka from a high floor room. In areas of improvement a bit more work on the concierge for guest would be appricated.

We had a lovely, lovely stay at the Iconic. We stayed in an executive king and the room was VERY well appointed. The bed was VAST!!!! The amenities in the room were lovely, including little 4 step skincare sets. The view was to die for, the Pyjamas were gorgeous and there was more than enough room for our large luggage. The executive lounge is a lovely added bonus for breakfast with a view. The staff were a dream. We arrived before check in and our room wasn’t ready but the reception staff allowed us to leave our luggage while we went exploring (they did the same after check out). I simply cannot understand why there are any less than favorable reviews - particularly about the staff who provided excellent service during our stay. We would happily return here.

I was treated exceptionally well by staff. Had a very important business meeting at noon in Dallas, 2 am local time at the hotel. The staff at the front desk found a place for me to take the call with a table and comfortable chair. They adjusted the lighting and brought me paper, pen and water. So thoughtful! My wife lost her hat on the train. Ueda at the reception desk called lost and found at the train station after writing down all the details, connected me with their lost and found department and assisted me for about half hour to file the report. All the while appearing happy and cheerful to help while quite concerned about resolving our problem. I have never been treated so well at a hotel. Highly highly recommend you stay here!

Great modern hotel with superb rooms, lovely food and very friendly and extremely helpful professional staff. Good location for underground. The photos are exactly what you see - modern, high end, lovely bathroom and spacious with great views of the city. I've read 2 of the very latest negative reviews on here, neither make any sense whatsoever about this hotel. We would stay here again without a doubt. We have to apologise, but we have forgotten the name of the member of staff who helped us no end with our car rental query at Odawara. We would like to register a big thank you here to her. The booking went through with her help and we collected our car the following day.

This hotel is actually really hard for me to review. I stayed for five nights on a solo leisure trip in a corner king. At the time I booked, there weren’t that many reviews, so I did realize I was taking my chances. Positives Centrally located, just a few minutes walk from Honmachi Station exit 2. This area is close to all kinds of stuff Laundry on premises, which is partly why I booked. There’s a curry shop next to the 7-11 which is quite good. Plan for a queue, but try to go if curry is your thing. I found the place on some sort of “Best of Osaka” list and was surprised it was next door…. Nothing else is. Negatives I was expecting more from a corner king, especially in a newer hotel… the room felt like an entry level room in the US. For a corner king, windows on both corners is a minimum. Floor to ceiling windows is a bonus. There was definitely no wow factor. The location. I know I just said the hotel is centrally located, and it’s true. But the hotel itself is in some kind of business district and there are no bars and just a handful of restaurants. If you want to stay out late within walking distance after the subways close, forget it. There’s a sandwich shop in the hotel building if you want to skip the hotel buffet. Osaka subways shut down around midnight and cabs aren’t the cheapest in Japan, so if you’re a night owl, this isn’t your place. Laundry. Yes, there’s laundry on site. Except there’s only four machines (they’re combo washer/dryer units) and they run on 2 hour cycles. Apparently these are popular for the hotel guests, because the two times I wanted to do laundry, there was a wait… at midnight. Good commercial coin op places can get you out in an hour. I thought late at night would be easy pickings for the machines, but nope. So know that the machines take forever, and don’t expect to jump right in when you want to. Late checkout. Standard checkout is 11am. I wanted 12p. They wanted to charge me. In the US, the first hour is always free. And staying at chain hotels with any kind of status always gets a late checkout. I give five stars to a place I’d happily return to and the price is fair. Four stars is usually “everything was great but this place is kind of pricey”. I did book this one because I got a great rate, and the hotel *is* in a central location. Would I stay here again? With the dead neighborhood and laundry situation, I’m definitely considering alternatives.
