Neighbourhood
Ginza, Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's also a downtown area with shops that were founded over a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza. It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels, world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular with anyone looking for a night out.

The hotel is located in the central Tokyo and closed to the Imperial palace. There is a jogging track around the palace for 3.2 mi (5 km). Furthermore, it takes only 8 min walk to Ginza, dining and shopping area.

My family of four stayed here during the first leg of a two week trip to Japan and it was a perfect jumping off point for the trip. The location is great and the lobby is very inviting with beautiful woodwork and art. Many times, there were musicians performing there as we

Our go-to hotel whenever we come to Tokyo. Tried others but nowhere as convenient or as comfortable as The Peninsula Tokyo. We took a connecting room and with the doors open it felt like an apartment, with great space. The steam room on the 6th floor became a daily morning

If you're going to Tokyo to explore, book at the peninsula since location wise it's on top of a subway station, and already near a major shopping district. If you're going to Tokyo to relax, and spend more time in the hotel, go with MO. It definitely is more modern, and new. But location wise, it's a little far from places people tend to explore. Their sushi restaurant 'Sora Sushi' is really good for its price too.

I think the tattoos are more of an issue when you go to the hot springs. The hotel pools such as at Peninsula should be ok. Maybe ask the hotel at check-in and see what they say.

Not really. That is what so surprising about Pennisula. The lobby is a restaurant rather then a lounge bar where you can meet people. They do a higher restaurant on the side which might serve as one. If your taking business center or room where you get coffee you might want to call? I was surprised. For meeting guests and high end people, the oriental and Aman is far more impressive. Hope this helps.
