Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.

We just spent 3 nights here. We were expecting a tiny small room - but no! Our room was spacious, modern, extremely well designed, with nice windows, free wifi, room safe. The bathroom was super impressive - very high tech ... of course - it's Japan! The toilet had more controls

We stayed in the Premier Grand - Deluxe Twin room with the Club Lounge Access. Upon arriving at the hotel the staff immediately took care of our luggage and directed us to check in at the club lounge instead of the main lobby. The check in process was quick and professional. All

After 1.5 weeks enjoying smaller, intimate hotels and ryokans in Kyoto, Magome, Tsumago, and Matsumoto, the Keio Plaza Hotel was a bit of a shock to the senses, as was Tokyo’s Shinjuku Station, our first stop in the massive Tokyo. We had little choice for a Saturday night stay,
