We spent a week in one of the gites ... Excellent base for the local towns and day trips into Belgium. We visited a number of WW1 sites as well as long beach walks. The gite was clean and comfortable providing everything we needed for a leisurely break.

We stayed for one night at Le Chateau but could easily have stayed for more. The house has been decorated and furnished with a really interesting mix which gives it a unique feel. Le Chateau is set in a lovely sleepy little village and so you'll be guaranteed a good night's sleep, especially as the bed had such lovely bed...

Loved this place. Everything all the other reviews say is correct. It's excellent and very good value for money. I felt like I was a guest in someone's house! The little touches were excellent. At breakfast (which was lovely and quite substantial) there was lovely matching bone china and silk napkins. I loved that. The village was a quirky place...

We stayed a night at Le Château before taking the ferry to Dover. It's a very nice building with beautiful decors and a familiar feeling throughout. The bedroom was comfortable and the breakfast nicely presented. If you decide to stay here you must go to the local bistro, Cafe de Bistade, where in a very unpretentious decor there is great...

What a pity we only could stay for one night. It is a brilliant place to begin a holiday . Nathalie is a charming hostess and immediately makes you feel at home. Our room was very spacious with beautiful furniture in keeping with the Chateau. The garden is wonderful and to sit out on a warm July evening drinking a...

We stayed here for 1 night after catching a late afternoon Eurotunnel crossing from Folkestone. It's about 30 minutes drive from the Eurotunnel terminal, and easy to find either by SatNav or the directions on Le Chateau's website. The house is wonderfully furnished and has a big garden where you can sit and relax. Our room, the Rose Room, was...

This was the second time we stayed in this bed-and-breakfast on our way from the UK to our holiday destination. It's about 30 minutes from getting off the euro tunnel in a little village with very few options for entertainment. We had dinner in the local cafe in the same street and that was quite nice. The owner spoke a...

Stayed here on the first night in France as its a reasonable but not-too-long drive from Calais. Room very nice, 4 poster bed, furniture looked very original and good fit for the place. Bathroom fine. Rest of house very nice, good sitting room and dining area. More space out the back but we didn't use it due to some indifferent...

At first I thought it may be a little off the beaten track, but we were surprised how close we were to the places we wanted to see. Thanks...

We stayed one night in December 2012 on our way to see the new Louvre in Lens. The chateau was perfectly located and easy to find from the ferry. The rooms were tidy, clean and welcoming, and the light in the morning was delightful. The hostess prepared us a sandwich with a bottle of wine as we arrived after the...

“The village is very quiet, so I doubt that it matters whether you have a front or back room. The rooms are all located on the 2nd and 3rd floors, so if you don't want to walk up two flights then ask for the lower floor. We had the grey and white room which was located on the first floor landing, facing the front garden.”
