We arrived on spec at around 6.30 pm on a Monday andasked if they had a table for 2, and were told by a grumpy barman that "we close at 7.00pm and don't do food"! Not the greatest of experiences. 'Nuff said!

It was actually a Sunday, and you may be mistaking grumpiness for attempting to inform you, before you bought a drink, that no food is available on a Sunday evening.

We were here a couple of years ago when Allan & son were at the helm & enjoyed some good company & food especially Allan's Curries, in what was a no frills but genuine little pub with a very good host. This time around having heard it had changed & against better judgement made

Came here hoping for some proper pub grub... on arrival there was not one friendly face at the bar so went straight outside... felt uncomfortable from the start. Skinny fries came out barely cooked and covered in grease... were disgusting! My breaded Brie also half 'cooked'
