Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had an excellent stay at Richard and Jane's cottage, Tycanol. We received a warm welcome. The cottage was excellent, cosy, warm, a well equipped kitchen and of course the added bonus of a lovely, well kept hot tub. We had everything we needed for a fantastic event. Thank you Richard and Jane.

We held our ruby wedding celebration at the cottages from a Friday arrival to a Monday departure. We booked all three cottages for ourselves, our children and our grandchildren, 8 adults and 5 children under 6. The cottages had connecting doors so we were able to turn the venue into one large cottage using the large central kitchen as a focal point. The whole place was spotlessly clean with everything we needed. Outside there are two large hot tubs which we used a lot. Again these were checked and cleaned daily. The location is very quiet and at night the lack of light pollution was very noticeable. We were very impressed. The welcome packs were a nice touch too! Thank you Jane and Richard for helping to make our weekend stay very special. Malcolm and Elaine

What a lovely find... we had Glyndwr Room on the ground floor. The room was huge, superking size bed which made for a comfortable nights sleep. The ensuite was a wet room, with plenty of space again. The accommodation was immaculate, tea and coffee making facilities, a fridge with a pint of milk in it. The hosts were very lovely, pleasant and chatty. They provided us with a delicious, huge breakfast that was served in our room. we enjoyed our stay.

An uplifting experience of an off the grid farmhouse stay. We really enjoyed our overnight stay and the freedom to roam the designated trail through the countryside. Breakfast in our spacious room was a delight

We are a group of 4 who have been coming to stay for many years. Pwllyn cottage is our home from home, it is cosy and warm and also very spacious with everything we need for our stay. From here we venture out to beautiful places for day trips, our favourite being NewQuay for the dolphin spotting. But we always enjoy getting back to the cottage and the hot tub is a bonus after a long journey. Richard and Jane are such fabulous hosts that have become friends over the years. Heres to our next visit.

We booked two nights in September for two motorcycling adults; a lovely room with huge and delicious breakfasts. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Being off the road it was quite and not too far to walk to the local pub. Perfect.

Stayed in one of the bed and breakfast rooms. Excellent sized room with sitting area and table ready for breakfast served in your room. Lovely local produce and catered for a coeliac with excellent dietary knowledge. Already booked a return trip need I say more.
