The best travelodge in the area by a country mile. Comfortable, clean rooms with a proper sized TV unlike all other Travelodges that have the small crappy wall mounted ones that you need binoculars to view. Also the hotel manager Kevin is a absolute credit to the chain. Will stay again and recommend to others in my circle.

The room was comfortable and the bed was excellent with clean bedding. But the room had not been thoroughly cleaned (previous occupant’s things still in drawer), and the carpets are really filthy....so much so that when walking across the room in dry bare feet after my shower, my feet were grey with dirt from the carpet! Breakfast was not available at the Travelodge due to COVID limitations but the Toby Carberry offers breakfast of sorts.....but really I wouldn’t recommend as the coffee is rubbish and considering I was in at the start of service the luke warm shrivelled mushrooms had clearly been partially warmed up from the day before.

I’ve been staying at this hotel most weeks since early August. The pictures on here show the rooms before it was refurbished a month or so ago. Gone is the faded, grubby carpet, stained toilet and sink. The refurbished rooms are now much smarter with better soft furnishings, armchair and desk chair, although the dated wardrobe and desk remain, but that’s a minor niggle. The rooms also have new radiators and plug sockets with USB B and C charging points.
The reception staff are really friendly and helpful. Free parking is also a bonus and the hotel is a few minutes drive from the M3. The main irritation is the cheek to charge for WiFi - ok, you get 30 free minutes per 24 hours, but these days free WiFi is everywhere from the local supermarket, the London Underground, other budget hotels, airports, train stations, pubs, restaurants, buses, etc etc. Even the Toby Carvery on site has free WiFi. Sort it, Travelodge and provide free WiFi for your customers.

The lodge was very tired and our room was dirty.
Luckily we took our own antibac wipes and cleaned the table in the room that was disgusting.
Some bleach down the toilet would make it look much more appealing.
Security - why on earth was the fire door near reception being used for an exit to have a cigarette? This completely takes away the need for the security fob to get in where the rooms are.
This is out of order and so so wrong.
Due to personal reasons this was not highlighted to staff

This Travelodge used to be great, but it has slowly decreased to a pathetic state. We have stayed here a couple of times a year for about 20 years. We stayed at Christmas for 10 nights, and they never changed the towels or bedding, or replaced anything. We stayed again recently in early February 2022, to find our room 108 was in a disgusting state. Thick mould in the shower, a broken bathroom door, very dirty each side of the bathroom door at floor level, old dried stains on the lounge work surface, and stains on the net curtains, plus the carpet was several years overdue for renewing.
This place is now a health hazard. Do not stay here.

We stayed for two nights the back end of June for a day trip to Thorpe Park, on arrival (after an almost six hour drive from Durham due to a crash at Luton), the “friendly” young man on reception flung, and I mean flung, our keys at us across the reception desk. If you’ve stayed here you’ll know there’s a fob on the keys which then gets you through another door to the corridor of rooms. Thank god we had a bit about us to realise this because we clearly should have been told how to use the fob, or god forbid, even shown to our room.

We noticed stacks of bags (we thought laundry) stacked up against the fire escape door. And on check out this fire exit door was infact wide open allowing anyone in the area to just walk straight into the hotel as this fire exit was on the side of the hotel rendering the door with the fob on useless if they’re just going to prop the fire exit open to allow any Tom Dick and Harry to walk in via the fire exit.

Carpets in room were very very faded, but this didn’t bother us. Sink and bottom of toilet bowl were stained as in previous reviews but we only used the sink to brush our teeth and didn’t touch the stains so wasn’t horrific for us. Shower was clean but VERY slippy, one of us infact slipped in there so be cautious.

Room wasn’t very airy (we stayed in 112) and when we opened the windows there was just bushes outside so no flow of air.

Quite thin walls, could hear the people in the next room showering but nothing that would keep you awake, someone had a young child screaming in the corridor early the morning we checked out but that was it.

There’s a Toby Carvery on site which we used the day we checked in but they situate you sitting right on top of other diners and if you stand at the bar for a drink they’ll literally ignore you and play on your phones, but this is nothing to do with the Travelodge, I’m just highlighting it incase anyone thinks of eating there.

I’d probably stay here again, we like to visit Thorpe Park once a year and it’s quite a trek from Durham and Travelodges always serve us well, it was our first time at Frimley.

The room was comfortable and clean and the staff were very friendly, accommodating and aware of our needs as we were staying here for over 2 weeks with our young dog. They were very flexible about cleaning the room and changing the sheets when we requested it. The green space behind the hotel helped us give the dog some outside space.

I recently had the need to stay in the Camberley area for several weeks and selected this Frimley hotel as my base. I was pleasantly surprised by how well run it is and how friendly and professional the staff are. In large part, I put this is down to the excellent approach of the manager Kevin, who clearly puts the customers first and ensures the staff do the same. The net effect is a hotel with a ‘family feeling’ where you just feel comfortable. It’s very handy being next to the excellent Toby Carvery and the security cameras keep the cars safe in the large car park. I would give it 9/10, marked down only slightly because it is in need of modernisation sometime soon. It’s still perfectly adequate for the time being though.

Paid £43 for the night and for that I received Excellent service from start to finish.

Checked in very quickly by friendly staff.

Room very clean excellent shower very comfortable bed had an excellent nights sleep.

And what's really good is you don't get ripped off for parking at the hotel like a lot of hotels now days and there is more than enough carpark spacers

It took about ten minutes for the man on the desk to find me a free room with the bath I requested, even though the hotel was by no means busy or full. When he found one he couldn't seem to enter my details. He was never on the desk but had to be called. I stay often as it is near my daughter's home and this is the 2nd time that the hot tap in the basin could not be turned on. Different rooms each time. On my last visit I was offered a voucher as compensation but it never came. Room was clean and quiet. I will stay again only because of its convenient position.

They do not offer room service but as others have mentioned there is the Toby carvery next door and they are open till quite late too. I believe there is a vending machine with snacks and drinks in the Travelodge but that's it.

Frimley does not have a designated business floor. We do however have quieter areas of the hotel where we can place our business customers.
