Great location. About two minutes walk to the port for island ferries. Most of the main shops and restaurants are also within a short walking distance.
All rooms overlook the sea and have a terrace or balcony. The view is wonderful on a sunny day.
Bedroom not huge but the balcony makes up for that. All the usual features are available including AC, kettle and hairdryer.
Some areas seem slightly dated but it was excellent value at the time we booked (off season/ COVID)
Reception is on the ground floor but the lift is external so you can come and go without passing reception.
Possibly because of COVID, only a minimum cleaning service at the time we visited. Instead, we got two vouchers each day to collect a drink from reception. Enjoyed the beers more than a cleaning service!
Staff at reception were very pleasant and helpful. There are also a few bikes which guests can borrow.
Location is the clincher here but overall a really good stay.

Conveniently located in the port of Ishigaki, with wide balconies that offer views of the ocean and the harbor, this is hands down the most practical and welcoming hotel in Ishigaki. It offers all modern conveniences, has a super-fast wifi connection, and features great bathrooms and cozy beds. This is a place to recover from a trip in style.

We stayed at hotel two nights with sea views. The sea view is very beautiful. The hotel price is reasonable. The hotel located next to port and bus terminal within 3 minutes. The location is very convenient. Welcome drink is provided after 3pm. Free 3 hours bikes is provided. Now hotel is renovating so some noise was created. Recommend to stay.

This hotel is conveniently located near the Ishigaki pier in case your goals are to island hop around the Yaeyama islands.

If you are an English speaker the staff is not readily available to help. But it seems that it is common for this area almost tours are in Japanese only. They are very strict on the 2 pm checkin - even though we came in the off season and could tell there was very low occupancy.

The beds are VERY hard...I found it difficult to sleep and would not stay another night.

The room has few outlets if you need to charge multiple phones and pocket wifi etc.

Having just left the Sheraton in Tokyo, arriving at this hotel was a bit of a shock. Did not look like it's website pictures. After getting over the shock we came to love the location. Short walk to the ferry building and on the waterfront of a working harbor...not a marina as the pictures would suggest. Also walking distance to all the restaurants and shops in town. We spent a month traveling around Japan and Ishigaki...especially Taketomi Island turned out to be our favorite place. We live at the beach in So. Cal. so it was great for us. I'd stay at this hotel again, just because of the location. There are nicer "resorts" but they are far from everything and you'd have to taxi everywhere or stay on the property...but then why bother to travel all that distance to only see a hotel.

Room Tip: Get a high floor for better harbor view. Try not to get the far right room on 4th floor.

Yes, the location is good and the view is beautiful but that's all. Other than that the hotel is over rated. I am Japanese so I like firm mattress but I have never slept on such rock hard bed in my life before. I cover the mattress with the bath towels hoping to get a little softer surface, but it didn't help at all.

On the first day when we arrived at the hotel, I had a shower before going off for dinner. I didn't realized untill I wipe my body eith the bathtowel and it smelled like someone already used it left it for a few days!!!
I brought down the towel to the reception and they changed to new one later but it was such a disgusting experience.

I know that the Ishigaki hotels are not cheap but this hotel needs better maintenance and services. I can't believe this is Japanese run hotel :(

Sorry not returning.

This hotel is about 2 mins walk to the ferry terminal, and walking distance to many eateries. Over our 5 nights stay here, we stayed at various rooms - the Japanese room with the tatami mats and futon, the Hollywood twin room, the port view twin room and the suite with terrace on the highest 13th floor. Tatami mats in the Japanese rooms are nice but the area is a little small and the futons are a little thin. The WC and shower are separated in the Japanese room. The Hollywood twin room and port view twin rooms are fine for 2 persons but a little tight for 3. Bathrooms are a little small to fit two persons in the twin rooms. There are only two suites on the 13th floor. The suite is way more spacious with the WC, shower and wash basin areas separated, a big terrace on the side and a balcony in front. The terrace and balcony offers a great view of the port and sea but the walls could do with a little repainting.

I was awakened up by noise from the port every morning if the balcony door was not closed. But closing the doors filtered out the noise significantly. All rooms face the port / sea and no rooms face inland. This also meant that there are no rooms on the other side of the corridor and as the corridors did not have windows, you will feel the weather immediately upon exiting your rooms. It is the same with the hotel lobby - you will feel the wind immediately outside the lobby doors.

We loved the buffet breakfast every morning. There is free flow Japanese food, Okinawa dishes, Western selection, good espresso, ice cream. The variety of fresh fruits can be improved. Another percularity is that they do not provide knives to butter or speed the jam on the toast / croissant. Breakfast may seem a little expensive but we soon realised that there are not many choices for breakfast outside the hotel, and for the amount we ate, it was definitely worth it. Over alternate days, some of the dishes vary, so we did not get sick of the food.

There are 3 top-load washers and 3 dryers at a sheltered but open-air area on the ground floor of the hotel. Each wash cost 300Y and every 30 mins of drying cycle cost 100Y. There is washing powder free for one to use. The washers are not exactly coin-operated - you need to turn on the washers then go to the lobby, pay 300Y, then will the washers start. So in cold and windy weather, do wear warm clothes when you do the laundry as you will feel the wind while walking back and forth. Despite paying for the dryers, they are really lacking in performance and the clothes are not dry even after 2 cycles and despite not overloading them. Both the washers and dryers are in need of updating.

There are 5 bicycles for loan for 3 hours. They work by an honour system, you will not be charged if you return them later than 3 hrs, but you are asked not to do so. The bikes are loaned out on a first-come-first-served basis. You need to get the keys from the lobby to unlock the bikes.

Staff are generally friendly and helpful. They have a little gadget that will help to translate. I was amazed by how the staff seem to be able to serve multiple roles - from checking the bidet to serving at reception to serving at breakfast.

From the airport, you can take bus 4, 10 or the airport direct bus to the port, then walk to the hotel. The airport direct buses are cheaper and faster then bus 4, 10.

Overall, a great choice for the price we paid.
