15 mins away from Ishigaki airport, shuttle bus is available at the outside of airport which you can get the schedule from it’s website.

Very cosy, quiet and not yet conquered by the noisy tourist group, as this hotel is away from any shopping area and restaurants. Good for people who really know the virtue of peaceful mind and avoid the hustle and bustle.

This is a very new resort hotel, with full facilitates you need. A good quality restaurant serving local dishes and Ishigaki beef/steak, a hot-spring (artificial , a sizeable outside swimming pool and wonderful garden and sea view .

A large variety of outdoor activities are available, just need to ask the concierge and book your schedule in advance.

This hotel really lives up with Japanese traditional culture - everything is neat and tidy. Professional staff, very helpful and responsive with great patience. A reasonable number of staff can speak English, communication should not be an issue.

All staff is very young, energetic and very kind.

Room is very spacious, with balcony of swinging chairs.

Welcome drinks of local ice tea and Orion beer are available for free.

Particularly thank you to “HIROYA ASANO” who helped me to arrange birthday cake for my wife way before we were flying to Japan, and “OYABU YUKA大藪𧙗夏” thanks to her recommendation we enjoyed a very pleasant dinner with superb quality of Ishigaki beef.

I wish the hotel management team can keep the standard and quality of service. Ishigaki will become a hot spot for tourism, the oasis could be overwhelmed.

It is our second time visiting Okinawa, Villa Garden is definitely the best among its peers.
We had a great time there enjoying the sunshine and SPA. What impressed us most is the buffet dinner with original ishigaki beef, we really like the sashimi and cake provided in the restaurant.
If you are planning trip to ishigaki, do not miss the chance to relax yourself at Villa Garden.

Don’t stay here unless you’re Japanese and you don’t want to swim or go to the beach & you like swimming in a kids pool filled with little children. The room was nice & food delicious but overall we had to call the front desk every morning to ask to have items stocked as they were forgotten or 1/2 filled. The cleaning crew moved baggage & didn’t return items to their place. Overall, we changed our reservation & booked at the Intercontinental which was less money!

Lastly, the hotel offered free pick up & drop off to from airport which is ¥3200 each way. They didn’t inform us but the stopped it due to COVID-19.

The best closest beach is Maesato which is a ¥1600 taxi ride each way. It’s at the foot of the intercontinental! So why stay anywhere else...

This was my first trip to Ishigaki and I loved the island—but I will not be staying at this hotel again. The room and grounds were lovely, but I was not impressed by the customer service. The trouble began before I started, I booked the same room twice by mistake, but told that I could not cancel the reservation online or over the phone since it was non-refundable. However, they explained that once I arrived, the hotel manager onsite would help me. This was not the case. I explained the situation at check-in, and was directed to call several numbers in as many countries, using my own cell phone. After 45 minutes, the situation was still not resolved. The hotel manager kept insisting that it was my credit card company’s fault and that there was nothing he could do. Instead of offering me any meal vouchers/credits or upgrades, or better yet, researching the issue himself, he asked me to contact yet another customer service line. I asked him if he would mind contacting them instead, as I was very tired and wanted to check in. Several hours later, I checked in again, and he still had no solutions for me. The following day, other hotel guests moved into the adjoining room that I had theoretically paid for. I asked again about getting a refund, or other compensation, but was again informed that there was nothing that could be done. I spent three days at the property, eating meals, doing activities, but not once did I receive an offer for a discount or voucher or upgrade, though I did ask. To add insult to injury, I was told that I would need to pay an additional fee to use the spa at the adjoining facility since I didn’t have a premium room reservation. On my return home, I realized that I had left one of my AirPods and a scarf behind. I called the hotel to ask if they could mail it back to me, but was told I would get a call back from someone who spoke better English. I received no return call, and despite several calls to the hotel to resolve the issues or to get my property back, I have not heard back from them yet. Very disappointing.

We have booked the president villa with private pool for 4 night. When we first step in the hotel, we have experienced the exceptional high standard of service from a welcome smile to the way they handle your luggage. The hotel was newly built and opened in Apr 2017. All the facilities are brand new. The Villa area has only one restaurant but it offered very high quality of food from a standard buffet breakfast to the teppanyaki of ishigaki Wagu. The room type we booked was a 67 Sqm cottage with private pool. Although the pool was a little bit small, we have much in it with my family. The bedding is also of very high quality which provided comfort support to your body.

Unfortunately, during our stay, a typhoon has visited the ishigaki area. We still went out for shopping to kill some time, but when we come back the room, the hotel has already prepared to 2 large bags of food and bread for just in case their restaurant cannot open. That was such a heart warming care in such bad weather!

All in all, the hotel weaved a important part to make our ishigaki trip so memorable. We planned to visit there again in next summer.

New building villa: Superior terrace ocean view non-smoking I stayed at Umikaji no Yado for two nights.

It was about 30 minutes from the airport by free shuttle bus.

I was worried because the staff seemed brusque in the emails I received beforehand, but the women at the front desk were kind and relieved.

I had a comfortable stay in a room on the third floor with high ceilings and bright lighting. I could see Taketomi Island and the ferries from the room, and I enjoyed the view. The bath was spacious and there was a washing area and a chair/bathtub, so I could relax. The refrigerator was large with a freezer, and it was nice that there were free drinks.

However, the light at the entrance attracted insects, and I was troubled by the fact that insects would get in every time I went in and out. I thought it would be good to change it to LED or something.
I thought it would be more luxurious to have two sets of towels per person.

I used the large public bath once. I thought the bath in the room was enough. The free ice cream after the bath was nice.

For breakfast, I had a buffet at TEEDA, and the menu was plentiful and I was satisfied. For dinner, we had the "Ishigaki Beef Teppanyaki Dinner" at TEEDA, which was very satisfying. The main dish was Ishigaki beef thigh steak, and the buffet had a wide variety of sushi, sashimi, and snacks, so we were very satisfied.

About 10-minute taxi ride from the resort to Misakicho, and it cost me about twelve hundred yen.
