Stopped in here, after a long dog walk, for a drink. It was nearly 3pm and we thought we'd probably struggle to find Sunday lunch anywhere at this time. However, the very welcoming staff offered us the lunch which we accepted. It was hot, tasty and filling - just what we needed. Nothing was too much trouble for these guys...

I must admit this wasn't our first choice for Sunday lunch but as they are dog friendly it fitted the bill. It was a glorious sunny day so we all sat outside and ordered 6 Sunday lunches (beef, pork and chicken). Service was good - with all meals arriving within about 20 minutes. There were generous portions of all the...

Stopped in with my parents, 3 children and dog about 7pm. Made to feel welcome and food was delicious. Home made chips and desert. Yum. Excellent value too. So good that went back for lunch later in week. Delicious homemade quiche and batter on cod just perfect. Would definitely recommend.

I cannot believe how bad the meal was. We have visited many times before but will not be going back again. This was the opening night of their restaurant- one a4 menu with prices written by hand and it was covered in grease! Very limited menu and it did say all dishes were served with peas or beans. This was...

We stopped here for sunday lunch late feb 2016. Warm welcome, good beer and a very good sunday lunch. Plenty of meat and veg and well cooked and presented. Felt we were valued customers. Clean, tidy toilets. Dog made very welcome too and plenty of fuss and fresh water. Will return.

Had a really nice Sunday lunch. Had the soup and beef, my daughter the prawns and beef, and my wife the pate and pork. Vegetables were cooked just right, the meat was tender and the portions were generous. We have been here several times and always find a warm friendly welcome with the added advantage of being able to take...

A wonderful short break visiting family, the room offered complete comfort, very clean & everyone friendly. Sunday lunch was amazing-food plentiful, hot & a great selection & superb value-just a shame we couldn't manage a pud!. The area is well worth a visit & handy for transport if you wish to have a break from driving-planned next visit already.
