We found this pub on our way back from a walk in Buckden. Arrived at 5pm, had a drink & our food arrived at about 5.45pm. (Don't serve food until 5.30pm). We almost had place to ourselves & they have a good playlist!! I had steak & ale pie, homecooked chips, veg & gravy. My partner had root veg pie...

We had a great stay in this lovely located hideaway. The hosts were welcoming with a great sence of humour. We had a good giggle. We booked the superior room with nice bath/jacuzzi. Even tho we don't have dogs loved the fact that they did. The food was lovely. We ate later and tried the fish cakes very tasty and...

We have been to this pub many times over the years when visiting the Dales. Last weekend on a cold and snowy evening we called in for a drink. We were greeted by 2 roaring log burning stoves one in each section of the divided bar area. The walls had been painted a lovely warm red, and it just felt...

Arrived to a empty bar and staff on her mobile.... corridor and stairs up to the bedroom were smelly, dirty and dark. Room ok, but very noisy even though they have double glazing. Asked what time we wanted breakfast and told it was between 9 and 10, a bit on the late side for us as we had a long...

We were made to feel welcome, first by the 3 resident dogs then the owner. We stayed in room 1, it was spacious, the bed was comfortable and the en suite bath Jacuzzi and fluffy white towels was a welcome bonus!

Made to feel very welcome. Beautiful fire with very cosy atmosphere. Comfortable bed with lovely bedding and fluffy white towels. Excellent full English breakfast and would recommend. Owners do have dogs but very well behaved.

Had the suite usually used for families and it was quite spacious with king size and fold down beds for three women friends. The hotel and bar has been extensively refurbished and is very well done and comfortable. The food is pretty standard bar fayre though it does vary a bit in quality even the breakfast! But mostly good filling...

Came upon Devonshire Arms after a morning of beautiful scenery. We were made welcome by staff. Also very dog friendly. Our Airedale got a lot of fuss. Ordered hot sandwiches that came with salad, chips and lots of it. We shared hot roast beef and local sausage. Brilliant and worth ever penny. If we are in that area again we...
