What a find! although a wee bit out of the way, The Mill House hosts Claire and David made the trip worthwhile. The whole place is quality from the car park to the rooms. Beautiful warm welcome. The room was immaculate, the breakfast was just the best we have had for a long time, with a good selection of locally sourced produce and a to die for home made marmalade. I defy anyone to find fault. We will certainly return.

The suite and room was amazing. The bath room had lovely fluffy towels and toiletries provided to a high standard. Tea and coffee in the room which was top up every day. Views are just fantastic and they are all round the hold mill house. This is one off the best B.B.we stay in

I arrived for a 2 night stay after walking from Jedburgh. I was greeted by Clare and immediately felt welcomed. She looked after all my needs. The room was spacious. The breakfast was delicious. I had packed lunches included. Make sure you ask for the cheese and chutney sandwich if you’re getting a lunch. I arrived back on my second day totally drenched and Clare very kindly made sure I gave her my wet things to dry. I expected the boots to still be wet the next morning but they were dry and warm when I put my feet in them. Clare and Divid make a great team. I look forward to staying here again!

Our third stay at the Mill House. Fantastic family room and beautiful cooked breakfast. Claire an David are brilliant hosts. Nothing is too much trouble, and they make our stay very enjoyable and relaxing. Looking forward to returning in future.

This is a very good B&B well organised for the walking visitor. Our room (suite) was large and comfortable and the stay was fine. A couple of minor improvement points: It could have been a bit more "homely" and welcoming, things were a little over organised Lovely as the owner's dog was, some people are not fans of dogs in dining areas, so I would rather it didn't wander around the breakfast room where people were eating But these are small improvement points, as this is probably the best place to stay for a night in Kirk Yetholm

Lovely place, well furnished and warm. My room was upgraded at no extra cost because the room I had booked was booked by someone else at the same time. Breakfast was excellent and family (including dogs and cat) very friendly. I would stay there again.

We spent the final night of our Pennine Way hike at Mill House and had a wonderful time. We truly feel that it is the best accommodation that we have ever experienced. We were given a warm welcome from Clare. Our room was luxurious with every thing we needed and more. The bed was comfortable, the guest lounge was delightful and our breakfast was delicious. Thank you to Clare and David for your warm hospitality.
