This is really a hidden gem! It was beyond my expectation, and I was so delighted with the stay. Felt so welcoming by Jilly and Mel when reached. Stay in the oriental room, which is a very good size. Cozy and equipped with everything needed. The breakfast prepared by Mel deserved a 5 star rating! Strongly recommended, and I would love to return again. They also provide lots of information for nearby restaurants and tourist attraction too. So this is really a great place for a relaxing and peaceful getaway. Love it!

Sadly the new owners do not offer the same quality of service and those lovely touches that made it special as the previous owners. We used to go every year for a romantic getaway. We wont bother staying again.

Above & beyond what we were expecting! Fabulous stay at this secluded little gem. Peaceful cosy home from home with a little magic & Spectacular views. We were made to feel very welcome during our short visit. Full serviced breakfast included was exceptional! We will definitely be returning.

We used two rooms over our stay. The Daintree Room was 5 star and the Mediterranean Room not far behind at say 4 .5 stars. Our hosts were impeccable p welcoming warm and accommodating fro anything we required. They were flexible and did all they could to make our stay as comfortable and easy as possible. The breakfasts were as good as any restaurant leaving us wanting for nothing and the views over the rainforest were to die for. This is one of the best BnBs we have ever shared at. Highly recommended.

We have just spent 3 nights staying in the Daintree Room and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Jilly and Mel are very accommodating and make sure every guest is looked after. Two other couple were staying at the same time as us, using their other themed rooms. The breakfast is to die for, with everything you could wish for on the Breakfast Menu, including beautiful fresh fruit, and hot food cooked up by Chef Mel. You won't be disappointed staying there and see the beautiful surrounds of Mt Tamborine.

Amazing views, awesome hosts, an all round great place to stay. We had the safari room which seems to have the best views of the valley below, great place to unwind and catch the sunset. will definitely be back again

Avocado Sunset USED to be our favourite place to stay. But although still nice, it has gone down hill, with the new owners Jilly and Mel - not the luxurious place it was. As we have stayed so many times (10 over the last decade) we thought we would write directly to the owners with some feedback eg Cold both in temperature and atmosphere plus breakfast was not very good and lots of other small comments. But to our surprise, basically they called us liars, as they must have been offended. So needless to stay we will not be recommending it to anyone or staying again.

Since our last visit the standard has fallen to 3 star due lack of attention to detail. For example the windows balustrade and furniture generally needed attention. Mould in the shower. Combustion heater was not prepared for use as it was for last visit. I did mention this and was told to just ask. We returned to this retreat as it was so good the first time and was so disappointed we will not be returning.

A wonderfully warm and inviting bed and breakfast. Each room is well equipped with everything you should need during your stay. Host Jilly and Mel are just lovely people who go out of their way to make you feel like part of a family. The breakfast which is included in your stay is generous, delicious and amazing. Spending time in the common area is just as relaxing as time in your room. With an incredible view stretching over the valley, a deck to enjoy your wine or snuggle up on the couch with some complimentary port. This place is well worth the stay or more. Thank you Jilly and Mel (and Leo - the cat) for your hospitality.
