This is a nice campground where most sites are private and have shade. One loop has electricity. There isn't a dumpstation and the water supply is limited. Each camping loop has two biffies (one for men and one for women). This is a beautiful park. Half to three quarters day gives you plenty of time to visit each of the...

Driving into the park, you don't get a sense of what awaits you. This park is nothing short of spectacular. With it's 2000 foot canyon walls straight down to the Gunnison river, to the painted wall, you will never get tired of looking at it. Listen as you can hear the roar of the river down below. There are many...

I loved the setting of the campground and the fact that each site was separated from other sites by a lot of trees and shrubs so privacy was awesome at each site. Tent only loop was very quiet and enjoyable. There are no showers or flush toilets...

Early morning is the best time to visit this spectacular canyon carved by the Gunnison River. Don't miss the Painted Wall. Walk to as many overlooks as you can to experience the depth of a canyon that is deeper than it is wide. A visit with the rangers at the visitor center is definitely worth a stop.

There is hiking you can do, but it involves serious scrambling! We passed on that, but did the shorter ones to the edge of the canyon in multiple places! It's an awesome...
