Although you visited us in 2014, Death Valley National Park is still just as beautiful and although Stovepipe Wells Village has changed in many ways since your visit, you can still expect the same quality customer service and accommodations that you experienced when you were last here. My husband and I went to Stovepipe Wells 30 years ago, loved it, and had to go when in Death Valley. T was cooler this time, so we couldn't sit out looking at the stars, but here was an astronomer there who had a telescope set up. The room s basic, but has everything we needed, and was clean with...

Recently stayed here for four nights when visiting Death Valley National Park. Hotels are few and far between in the park so your selections are limited. I found the staff friendly, the rooms clean, and the restaurant surprising good. I did have an issue with getting hot water in my room. After telling the staff three times it was fixed,...

Our Death Valley visit took place in what was probably the lowest point on the visitor curve. As a result, the Hotel was close to empty and the main restaurant was only open in the morning for buffet breakfasts. But there were no lines anywhere, no waiting in the restaurant and the bar was open for linch and dinner, serving...

Death valley is definitely worth a visit in January. If you stay just a little longer, you might want to sleep at the Stovepipe Wells Hotel with bar and restaurant. The room is simple, but what one needs dor a night. Bed, shower, toilet, TV, coffee machine... Heater and air conditioner. Heater unfortunately didn't work at my room. But it...

We stayed here on two separate nights while visiting Death Valley the week before Christmas. The first night the room we had smelled terrible. Like someone had just used the toilet. Not very pleasant. There wasn't much we could do to clear the air. Two nights later, we stayed here again and got the wheelchair accessible room which was a...

Based on a double standard room. We stayed in Stovepipe on Xmas Eve / Xmas Day, to enjoy a peaceful break, and this was an excellent choice of accommodation, ideally placed for the dunes, and other key spots in the Park.
