When we arrived we were told that there were complaints of mosquitoes, little did we know how true that was!! Apparently, they cut the grass really short and spray for bugs right before the season starts...for which we were a couple weeks early. You could not open the door to the van for a second and a hundred bugs flew...

We were tent-camping at this campground. We were booked for 2 nights but ended up only staying one because it was so hot, buggy, and no breeze. The bathrooms didn't have ventilation so they were very moist and also buggy. Would not recommend tent-camping here in March. Also, it is an hour to town so don't forget anything. And there...

Nothing spectacular about the campground. Was packed the weekend we went. Washrooms weren't properly maintained / cleaned. Barely met our needs. I don't like the fact that we couldn't reserve the camping spots online. It's first come first serve.

The sites are nice and large and include a firepit with a grate for grilling. The drive to the campground is quite long but well worth it. You will have no service, we had to drive about 40 miles to get any, but honestly that's what camping is about. It is important to note that close toed shoes are essential...

Flamingo Campground is a beautiful campground with a very wet dry season in January 2016. I believe the ranger and the other visitors center said, 1/2" is normal for December and the had 13" and we had torrential downpours during my visit. My he tent campground was virtually unusable but I was very pleased with the A area. Showers and...

Not sure how to rate it because the park, no-doubt, is very beautiful, well maintained and with spectacular view but camping is not a fun experience there. We stayed overnight at the 'walk-to' campsite. The campsite is on a marsh-land with very hard grass and wet sand so be prepare for that. We really enjoyed our stay but overpopulation of...

There were a total of 3 adults that tent camped in the Flamingo Campground down in the Everglades National Park. With our kayaks in tow we headed down from West Palm Beach (approx 3 hours) and upon arrival we were immediately eager to explore our surroundings. The tent area was a very large field with picnic tables and fire rings...

Loads of mosquitoes in the grass as you stir them up walking to the restroom where they won't hesitate to bite your fanny. Moved campsite to walk up area by the bay which offered more wind to blow most the mosquitoes off you but then a multifamily (~100) group moved next to us and were up all night catching illegal...

The Flamingo campground is located at the end of the road that crosses the Everglades National Park. The campground itself is a bit basic, but ok. The tent sites have no electricity or water, only a picnic table and fire pit. There are showers (solar heated) and toilets. The worst thing about this campground are the mosquitoes. Offcourse, you are...

There are only a few showers with hot water in the campground, but lots of cool osprey nests. There are a lot of bugs, but hey, it's the everglades. Great fishing in the area - I recommend bringing your own guide or your own boat. Renting an RV with A/C definitely increases the pleasure. There are only so many camping...
