After a week of rafting in the canyon, Bar 10 Ranch, touring through Zion and a stay at the North Rim we made our way to the South Rim. We chose early Sept thinking the crowds would be less, which I'm sure they were, but we still found it chaotic in comparison. Bucky O'Neil's Suite was our place of refuge!!... More

Once in a lifetime opportunity. You do get a few people peeking in the window but we hung a "Do not disturb" sign on the door and that helped. We did give a couple of tours though which was fun.words can't do the experience justice. When we left the park on Sat morning there was a very long line to... More

A wonderful cabin with an amazing view of the Grand Canyon. The cabin is right on the South Rim trail and is only a few feet from the Canyon. You do feel like you're in a fishbowl at times as there are a lot of people walking by right outside your door. But it calms down at night - and... More

Room is well appointed and the view of the south rim is unbeatable. It is true, keep doors locked. Visitors to the canyon read the historical marker and think it is open to the public. This is a truly once in a lifetime stay. Great food within walking distance. Not much reason to use your car once you park it!

Got a great deal from the tourist office. Cabin is cosy and situated 10 steps from the rim edge. Plenty of tourists trying to peek in but not a big problem. Nice log fire and big bed, great for couples.

Cabin is steps away from the South Rim!! Awe inspiring!! Room was very clean and had a great fireplace. The only drawback is that there is little privacy with all the tourists peering into windows. Also, since it is a historic building, tourists think that they can walk into the living quarters! Management should post a sign indicating that this... More

We flew in from Las Vegas to The Grand Canyon for an overnight stay. It was better than I could have imagined. It was a beautiful majestic view. We saw the Sun set and took shots of Tequila to the Greatest Natural Creation on Earth I have seen!

My wife and I stayed here for our one night at the Grand Canyon. I chose it because I wanted to overwhelm her and because I knew it could get cold in the Winter time and I wanted to be able to walk out to the rim and right back in if we wanted to warm up. The cabin is... More

We stayed in the Bulky O'neil Suite for 2 nights in September. The suite has 2 rooms and both are well equipped, there is a small bathroom, and all the suite was exceptionally clean. There is an issue with parking, we struggled to find anywhere near Bright Angel and think this should be addressed by Xanterra. The views from the cabin... More

Staying at the Bucky O'Neil suite was a great experience. The bedroom and living room are very comfortable and the mini fridge/sink/food prep area is a great convenience. The closeness to the canyon edge cannot be beat. Things to watch out for are all the foot traffic and people thinking this is a place they can walk in and look... More

“If you want a room on the rim there are several to choose from between the Bright Angel, Thunderbird and El Tovar hotels. You just need to check with Xanterra (the concessionaire) and make sure you get the right one. However, there is only Bucky O'Neil suite in the world if you are looking for a one-in-a-lifetime stay.”
