We stayed in the Lodge rooms, not a cabin this time. 3rd winter time trip and it was excellent. Although you have much more privacy in the cabins (mostly because our 2 daughters were in the other 1/2 of the cabin so no strangers, staying in the Lodge was definitely easier for food, fun and drinks.

Good location, which is important when the shuttle bus takes an hour to get around the village, and longer if you want to transfer onto the other route for hiking. Room had a bolted connecting door, but the gaps around it meant that any quiet conversation in the next room was audible. I ended up getting up hours earlier than...

We had 2 separate cabins because we took the mule ride down to Phantom Ranch so we stayed at Bright Angel before and after that adventure. The hotel was clean, cabins were very unique, with western decor. We especially enjoyed the Red Horse Cabin, which was moved and originally a post office in the past. Updated and very tastefully decorated!...

I have stayed at most of the hotels on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. By far, hands down, The Bright Angel Lodge is my favorite. I prefer the "hiker's cabins" with the bathrooms down the hall. The price is right and the access to the South Rim is as close as one can get. There is a restaurant...

This was the final stop on our 2.5 mile hike through the Canyon. It was cozy and beautifully built. It made me feel like I went back in time. There were both backpackers stopping there to rest and families on tour buses.

Bright Angel remains my favorite, having stayed at several facilities. Brimming with old west flavor, rooms are nevertheless nicely appointed with good bathrooms, some with fireplaces. AND you're right on perhaps the most iconic of views of the canyon. And you're near everything. We got snowed in! January without the crowds was a wonderland , greatly to be recommended. Bright...

I was fortunate to be here during offseason. It was a little cooler but perfect for hiking. I met a guy from Lithuiania I hiked with down the Kaibab trail for over 3 miles and back up, I also hiked with some people from Sweden and Denmark and met people from several states as well, all in the beauty of...

We had a great view through the trees of the Grand Canyon South Rim. The only thing I would suggest is to run the water in the shower for a while to ensure the water is warm. Wifi was very not very strong. I shut down all my data so it wouldn't run. I am glad we visited in February...

The lodge lobby is cozy with a nice fireplace and we had requested a room with a view & the view was awesome over the canyon. The rooms are pretty basic but the location was great and we didn't spend much time in our room anyway - too busy exploring the south rim & the village. There are plenty of...

We were lucky enough to find a cancellation for New Year's Eve in a rimside cabin for one night and a non-rimside cabin for our second night. The cabins were just adorable, especially the rimside cabin which had a sofa and coffee table, the other just had a chair. Did NOT experience noise from adjacent users as otherwise reported -...
