Located close to the northern entrance to Kings Canyon NP, this is a convenient campground to the main sights in Kings Canyon. The campground was spacious and clean, bathroom facilities were adequate (toilets only) and well maintained. Camp hosts were present and friendly.

Campground recently opened all its loops at the end of April. Many great sites available for a national park. Cost is reasonable. No hookups but water available for RV. Bathrooms are cleaned daily. Seem to be plenty with a bathroom for each loop.

We stayed here for 1 night - the location was good and close to Grant Grove Restaurant (which is just up the road and very good!) and the site was nice. Quite busy but not noisy, and good but basic toilet facilities - no showers though.

We have been going to Azalea during the Labor Day weekend for about five years now and it is still our favorite campground of all of the Sequoia and Kings Canyon camping areas. For starters it's only about 3.5 miles from the park entrance, which makes it convenient for various

We stayed at Azalea the beginning of April. There was still snow and much of the campground was still closed. We arrived before noon and found two spots perfect for our 29' RV's. The campground was walking distance from both the Visitor Center and the General Grant Tree (which

Maybe call the campsite and see if you can reserve a space? We were there last October and hadn’t booked and were fine, but makes it less stressful if you know you have somewhere to go!

We had spots 31 and 33, and had a 29 ft motorhome in each. These were great spots... Pretty flat and plenty of room. As we walked the campground, we all agreed these were the best spots for RVs. These spots were nice and sunny, which was nice since we were there in the winter.

We just stayed here April 3-5. Parts of the campground were open, plenty of spots when we arrived Tuesday at noon. Sprint was spotty but worked, Verizon worked great. The campground is walking distance from General grant and the visitor center. We drove into sequoia one day to see the General Sherman Tree (less then an hour drive). There was still a good amount of snow in the campground but the sites are clear. I hope you have a great trip... I know we did!!!

We went the beginning of April, so much of the campground was still closed due to snow. I would recommend arriving before noon to get a spot. Many of the spots are not great for RV's. We have a 29 foot RV and had no problem finding a spot before 12, but the campground did fill up by the evening.
