We visited here with our 2 boys and a brother. The location next to Kings River with rushing water sound and beautiful forests/mountain peaks was fantastic. They have a nice 2 level porch for eating meals and relaxing while listening to the sounds and watching wildlife. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The staff, including Catherine, worked very hard to...

We stayed early June 2015. It is in a beautiful location, right next to roaring river. It is the only lodge at the end of Kings Canyon. It is about an hour drive to Grant Grove. Clean enough. We stayed in a standard room with two queen beds. Typical motel room, but cozy. Walls are paper thin! They put in...

If you want to be where the action is in Kings Canyon, without camping, this is the only game in town. We had been told the restaurant was a "snack bar," but it turned out to have a decent menu and the staff was very helpful. We arrived in the dark and our first sight was the moonlight over the...

Lovely place, great setting, awesome shop. If visiting - just bear in mind it all closes down about 9pm so get there early. Great in sunshine to take breakfast and dinner from the diner and sit by the river. The food is simple fast food fare but was surprisingly good. The shop is awesome and had more than you could...

Cedar Grove Lodge was wonderful, and the setting is absolutely beautiful. The staff is super friendly, and the food was way better than expected. We brought a "picnic" style dinner our first night and ate by the river which was awesome. The hotel gets super noisey in the morning when people are in the hall, so take that into consideration....

Its a nice Lodge sitting right alongside the roaring Kings River. Im giving it a 4 because of its beautiful scenery. The rooms are just average. No TV, no coffee pot, no ice machines, no refrigerator, no restaurant. They do have a Snack Bar, Store and Gift Shop. You get your ice and free coffee at the Snack Bar between...

AMAZING STAFF! Kind, helpful, friendly, I'll stay there again just because of them - I felt we made friends within 24 hours of our arrival. Many wore many hats during our stay: from running the reservation desk, to the restaurant and gift shop. Always available, always helpful. Just a rare staff! We LOVED our room on the rushing river. The...

Lovely-lovely casual setting next to a rushing river to calm your soul! Staff were friendly and helpful. Walls too thin. Not for those expecting luxury and pampers. The gift shop/market had good selection of items, from keepsakes, clothes, to decent beer selection. Would love fire pit usable near lodge to sit by the river and a controlled fire.

I’m giving this place a review of 4 only because of its location, which is spectacular. The lodge itself is a tad underwhelming, but being this far in the middle of nowhere, I didn’t expect much more. The room was dated and cold, and could have been cleaner. The room was also right under the deck of the lodge's restaurant...

great location- right on the kings river. make sure to pay just a little extra to have one of the 3 bottom rooms that face the river. the room was small, clean, and used only for the location. absolutely gorgeous surroundings- the room itself? meh. you can't beat it though. (there isn't much else there!) i didn't like how the...
