What an amazing find! We booked this based on location for our itinerary and the photos. Photos don’t do it justice. Mark and his wife are the perfect hosts. The room was fantastic and the huge private bathroom good enough to spend hours in with a shower and slipper bath. The stay was fantastic value. A hearty breakfast with fresh eggs from their own henhouse full of very handsome chickens. We would like to keep this a secret for ourselves but you simply must put this lovely B&B on your favourites list. Simply outstanding! We’ll be back…..
Only had an overnight stay, very unfortunate! From arrival to departure we were treated to a most wonderful experience. Being greated by Lorraine and Mark was a good start, being shown to our gorgeous room with private bathroom, nothing was a miss, cannot fault it. Breakfast was a delight, butter curls and potted jam and marmalade, Alex Polizzi the hotel inspector would be most impressed! Cannot recommend enough.
This was sudden late booking on our last day in the South West. We needed a place to stay after a days walking and luckily we happened on Great Philham House B&B This is a great place to stay. Within easy reach of Hartland. The room was very comfortable and warm. Mark and Lorraine gave a warm welcome and also booking us a meal at a local pub in Hartland. Breakfast was great. Fresh free-range eggs from across the road. I recommend this B&B highly.
After a blustery wet day on SWCP it was lovely to arrive at Mark and Lorraine’s cosy B and B. We were made very welcome and Mark even picked up from Hartland. The room was clean and cosy, comfy beds and we had a very good nights sleep! Our boots and wet clothing were dried by the Aga. Breakfast was very tasty, full English for both of us. Plenty of food to fuel us for our next day on the coastpath. Mark kindly dropped us back to the Coastpath the next day for us to continue. Thank you very much Mark and Lorraine for you hospitality it was much appreciated by both of us.
this is a lovely b&b the owners were very friendly and looked after us very well, we stayed 2 nights and had a lovely big room with a very large bathroom, very warm and cosy, the breakfast was very nice, all in all an excellent place to stay we will book again if we are down that way again. Although a little out of the way the closest place to eat and drink is Hartland which is a mile and quarter along the lanes.
