We arrived through about 5kms of dirt road, explored the area and found that everyone was friendly. We took out the romance package which included a 3 course meal, champagne and chockies on arrival. I do recommend pre-paying the meals as they are pricey, or alternatively bring

We spent two nights camping in early December. Unfortunately it rained the entire time - but the campsite and amenities were great and fairly clean. Loved that we could take Daisy our dog to the restaurant with us for dinner (they even have a dog menu). Food was great and so was

We stayed for 4 nights in the Riverside Cottage. I can't comment on the other cabins but our cottage was modern, clean & beautifully decorated with everything we might need. We had a large deck overlooking the river with comfy lounges & bbq. The staff were outstanding in their

We stayed for a wedding and firstly I want to say that the location was lovely. Such a beautiful spot. We stayed in a Queen boutique room. As did other family members. Our room was tacky and outdated. The interior design was straight from the 80's. Other family members had

We had a great weekend with our family (5 couples and 3 littlies) and thought we could make it an annual getaway weekend. I also was concerned about the negative comments on TripAdvisor but we did not have a problem. Staff were helpful, rooms were clean. We only ate the restaurant once, and it was good. ( although not cheap) We used the bbqs most meals, and I know the boys had trouble lighting them to start with, and one of the bbq plates is broken but we managed. I can understand your concerns since we had included a voucher for the weekend as Christmas gifts for our family, and it worked out to be very expensive. The area is really lovely and the river is beautiful to fish and swim in although, I don’t think July will be swimming weather. The farm visit was enjoyable but there is an extra cost($7). I think, go with an open mind and you will have an enjoyable time.

How many kilometers of gravel road to get to Riverwood Downs Resort?
If you are coming from Dungog, then it is about 20 km. We were in a 4wd so we were fine, but I’m glad I didn’t have to drive in my Audi!! 😖

I'd suggest you ask the operator. When we have camped there we have found they are quite obliging with later packup provided there are no others coming in on the site.
