A quirky and quaint way to enjoy an overnight stay in this peaceful location.Friendly hosts and warm hospitality. Big comfy bed and warm doona on a cool night, where we didnt have far to walk after dining in the attached restaurant.

On the main street in quaint but happening Forrest. A delightful, clean, quiet and relaxed place to stay. Big fluffy towels, great selection of teas, no TV (heaven), top notch wine glasses, very good local coffee for the plunger and comfortable stylish rooms looking out to the restaurant garden. Yes there is an amazing $65 per head (dinner) restaurant on... More

This was my fourth visit to this gem of the Otway's - no...gem of Australia. And at each visit the developments and improvements have been an unexpected delight to discover. Last time the leap from the simple but satisfying country fare to a gourmet tour of the region was the standout. Superb fresh ingredients, prepared and cooked with real passion... More

Tasty food combinations. Degustation perfect for sharing & not too big. Owner Emma explains where it all comes from - mostly local. Warm ambience created in old building. Charming. Rooms very simple but clean & comfortable. But go for the food - dinner & lunch. And Forrest is a lovely untouched area.

Dilemma ... Where to stay in Forrest, in the middle of the Otways ... Problem solved - no doubt about it, I chose the Forrest Guesthouse and it was perfect. An extremely welcoming and caring retreat. Emma as owner and front of house was delightful and very helpful. The place has a lovely feel to it, the owners clearly love... More

We stayed here a couple of nights and enjoyed the fine guesthouse. It is all very charming. We did not miss anything in the rooms, WiFi was working, all kinds of heating (needed one day) available and not least the charming Emma and her colleagues. They know how to offer a surprisingly delicate dinner with lots of different dishes. All... More

We loved everything about this place from the room decor to the bed linens to the selection of teas in the room - in small boutique hotels the little details matter, and they've got it absolutely right here. The breakfast is also very tasty (cereal, toast, coffee/tea) and you can upgrade to eggs and bacon for a small fee. Emma... More

Well presented, clean, confortable, cosy B & B rooms with the accent colour emanating from the bathroom basins - clever ! Rooms with verandah overlooking rambling gardens with relaxing tables and chairs. Only problem was we didn't really have enough time to unwind and relax with just one night's stay. Breakfast was perfect in a tranquil dining room. Perfect for... More

Lovely room, on the small side, but comfortable with nice bathroom. A wonderful dinner in the restaurant, and breakfast great. Most ingredients fresh and local, with delicious breads made on-site. In all, a pleasant but short stay at only 1 night.

This Guesthouse is beautifully set overlooking a garden with magnificent established trees and vegetable plots. Stunning birds - parrots will greet you in the morning and through out the day. The rooms are devine in their simplicity - quality and attention to detail without the distractions. The hosts Emma & Pete are both welcoming, knowledgable about their region and are... More
