Have stayed here multiple times now, it is lovely! The food is wonderful, nice atmosphere, there is a nice outdoor seating area aswell and plenty of parking. The rooms are nice and clean which is pleasant! Spacious and comfortable. It's a quite area and is close to quite a big shopping area and Okells Garden Centre which has a fab...

Booked this hotel at 2pm in the afternoon and when we realised we had time to make it for an evening meal booked a table online. The interior is welcoming and staff very friendly. The food tasted delicious and was very well presented, waiting on staff were attentive and dressed smartly too. Our room was lovely (so glad I didn't...

Was pleased to get a good deal for main meals....buy one get one for a penny! Sadly, very disappointed ...we both had steak and ale pie. This was a slice from a large pie and arrived so promptly,it had obviously been heated in the microwave as the pastry was of the "soggy bottom" variety. The menu stated chunky chips but...

As befits a former winner of the "Best Small Restaurant" the food at the Royal Oak is absolutely excellent. The menu is quite extensive and runs from fresh-baked pizzas and burgers to grilled Sea Bass and a full rack of ribs. Service and customer care is excellent. The hotel rooms are all modern and have all necessary facilities. Wifi is...

We decided to stay over near Chester on a long return journey from a trip to Hampshire and we booked on Hotels.com . We had a pleasant surprise as the room was fine with a nice king size bed and a great shower! The breakfast was good too, with pleasant and friendly but efficient staff and a good choice. All...

Rooms are lovely but the service is a tad too slow for my liking particularly at breakfast service. It's a little on the pricey side too and I would expect a better level of service for the prices charged.

We booked a mid-week break to visit Chester. The Royal Oak was a very friendly hotel, close to Chester but in the country and a jolly good spot to stay. Staff were very courteous, attentive and keen to ensure everything was to our satisfaction without being pushy. Food was very good and portions were generous but not too large except...

We stayed here midweek before a trip to Oulton park ( driving experience). The ratings are well deserved, we had a warm, comfortable room ( it was quiet also) and had a few drinks in the bar before dinner (excellent beer and cocktails). The food was very good and service friendly, breakfast the next day was top drawer, good ingredients...

A really nice boutique hotel. Good sized rooms with king size beds. Friendly staff with a really nice restaurant for both dinner and breakfast. A really welcoming hotel which is very well placed for exploring the surrounding area and very well placed for visiting Cheshire Oaks. You couldn't wish for a warmer welcome.
