Ingrid and Erik are excellent hosts:perfect fresh breakfasts, good restaurant advices, actual knowledge of the Algarve, and above that: very friendly and client centered. The swimming pool is relaxing, clean and quiet, surrounded by their nice garden. Pedras Verdas is just beyond the busy parts of the Algarve. So quiet but close to beaches, natural parc, small islands.

We have stayed a week at this beautiful and peaceful guesthouse. The rooms are spacious and spot on and there is a wonderful garden around it. The breakfast is sublime and the swimming pool is an excellent place to chill out. The service by the couple who is running this place is great! Very friendly and warm people!

My wife and I arrived the first day in Portugal and stayed in this lovely ambiance. The venue is positioned in a great country setting with a various selection of plants and trees. The room we had was spacious, very nice bed and nicely decorated. The breakfast was very nice with a wide variety of choice brought to our romantic...

It was really great to stay at Pedras Verdes. We stayed there for 11 days and we had only great weather. The room we stayed in was the ocean room. It had airconditioning, a great bed and a nice shower. Our hosts, Ingrid and Erik, where really nice and they were always willingly to give us advice where to go...

It was a real pleasure to be hosted in this unbelievable place. Everything was perfect: the room, the garden, the landscape, the service. We really felt at home. Delicious homemade breakfast. Great hospitality. We just loved it!

we stayed in Pedras Verdes 4 nights in June 2014. We booked Baroque room, cause it had a bathroom with a bath and was very private. We loved the place and were first Irish visitors ( it seems that Dutch and Germans know the place much more that Irish do :-). The place is very well organised, Erik and Ingrid...

We stayed at pedras verdes for 1 week and really enjoyed it a lot. The place seems to be in the middle of nowhere and is therefore really calm and relaxing. Ingrid and Erik are great hosts who make you feel at home and know a lot about the surrounding area. We enjoyed our stay a lot and we loved...

We had a lovely week in Pedras Verdes - the owners were very nice and helpful, the place itself is a paradise in Algrave and the breakfasts were just perfect. Really worth visiting if you are looking for a quiet place to stay and visit Algarve from.

The only downside.......we didn't book for long enough. We will next time. It deserves longer than the two nights that we booked. Erik & Ingrid are very good hosts. Obviously, it has its limitations, but no secret is made of the fact that it is bed & breakfast only and obviously, given its situation, it would be madness to stay...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Just 4 Km from Olhao and 20mn drive from either Faro or Tavira stands Pedras Verdes Guesthouse. The house is typical Algarvean architecture as its best, well proportioned and wholly sympathetic to the calm surroundings. The real "pieces de resistance", though are the bedrooms; so simple, but quite sensational. They are all the same size in proportions (all with air-conditioner, safe, TV, fridge and its own private bathroom), but each has an individual theme: Baroque, African, Asiatic, Zen, Arabic or blue "Tricia Guild style." ... more   less
