This is a perfectly nice hotel, we had a very spacious room with two huge beds and very good mozzie nets, and very funny themed towels (little mermaid and spongebob squarepants!) and were perfectly satisfied. The showers were outside the room and were a little dirty but this is a developing country and you have to set your standards lower!...

This place opened in April 1991, developed by a well-known Tana family, but the original plans and hopes were dashed by the continued civil unrest through the 1990s. When everything was new, in 91 and 92, it was delightful...the quirky, rickety local furniture, the limited menu. But now, it just seems forlorn and with so little trade, a little creepy...

I don't know if we hit this place on a bad day or what, but our two bungalows were absolutely disgusting. It seemed like they hadn't been used in months and staff had literally just made the beds and thrown a towel in there. My friend's shower was FULL of mouse droppings. My husband's and mine had a few, but...

To get to this hotel coming from the highlands or the coast, you need to go through the town almost to the river. Before reaching the river, you should see a sign advertising the hotel and pointing right. The hotel is at the end of that road, about 1km away.
