We stayed here for our anniversary. It couldn't have been a better choice. The village is stunning and quiet, combining the cosy feeling of being in a valley with spectacular long views to the east. The Casa and grounds are beautiful and peaceful. The owners have created a lush, secluded garden perfect for relaxing. Of course the room was comfortable,...

Castelo Novo gave me the feeling of seeing and breathing hundreds of years of history in full vivid technicolor. The vibe of this old village is prehistoric and somehow it feels at the same time modern and vital. We could not have done better than to stay at the Casa do Castelo Novo. Alice cooked two marvellous meals for us...

We spent the most memorable period at Casa do Castelo Novo during our two-week family trip. The scenery and the village are absolutely breathtaking and we'd like to praise our hostess, Alice. She's thoughtful and has plenty of suggestions regarding any questions. We arrived with a long list of attractions we wanted to visit, especially the surrounding historical villages and...

Casa do Castelo Novo is a lovely setting within a quaint Portuguese village. The rooms were large and very clean, and we stepped out of them into an attractive yard w/views all around. The most memorable part of our stay though was having dinner w/our friendly hosts, who served us a delicious meal w/plenty of interesting conversation. Next morning's breakfast...

We traveled through Portugal and Spain for 25 days and Casa do Costelo Novo is probably our favorite and most delightful stay. Situated in the tiny medieval town of Costelo Novo the B&B is a absolutely charming. Our very private room was spacious, very clean, comfortable, and furnished in a very appealing Portugese country style. Outside our door was a...

Casa de Castelo Novo is a wonderful place to stay if you wish to experience the life in a small Portuguese village (aldeia). It is also an excellent base to explore the region and interesting places like Monsanto, Idanha-a-Velha, Belmonte, Sortelha and even Serra da Estela. The vilage is small but charming. The only restaurant is open for lunch only...
