Stayed here for two nights recently and it was absolutely perfect. Rooms beautifully yet simply decorated and Karen the owner was incredibly helpful, giving us valuable information about the local area so we could make use of the little time we had. We had never been to Wells and so glad that Karen recommended it. Breakfast was excellent and the... More

Stayed for two nights in the blue room. Building is beautiful. The blue room is very tastefully done and finished in french chic style. Karen is a very welcoming host and went out of her way to accommodate our arrival. Poached eggs in the morning were perfect. Didn't want to go home.

Found this gem on line, very close to Wells and ideal for walkers. A beautiful historical cottage with character in abundance. We stayed in the little blue room and were surprised how big the room was, watch your head on occasion but full of character and comfort. The square bath is a must to try out, again bigger than it... We have just spent a week staying in The Old Bakery cottage. We had an absolutely wonderful stay and found it perfect in terms of what we were searching for- a beautiful cottage in a lovely setting where we could explore the surrounding area with our toddler. The cottage itself is very well presented in a lovely French style and Karen... More

We stayed here as a family for 1 night on our way to Oxford. I booked it based on the photos and wonderful reviews and it did not disappoint. The home is very beautiful with all of the originality of the former historic post office and bakery. Karen is a wonderful hostess who made us feel very welcome with home... More

We hired the whole place which includes the 2 B&B rooms and the self catering cottage for a family stay. We had a 2 year old toddler and she loved all the space in the house. The lounge is absolutely beautiful with such comfy sofas and a gorgeous open fire. The whole place is decorated beautifully with stunning furniture, comfy... More

This really is an exceptional B&B Tastefully decorated in the style of a french farmhouse by charming owners. Quirky square bath in a lovely bedroom with low ceilings. Despite the french ethos the full english breakfast was superb. If we are ever in the area again we would certainly return-one of the best B&Bs we've ever visited

Without a doubt one of the nicest places we've stayed.....Beautifully decorated and well appointed with all mod cons but retaining the charm of the origional building. We were greeted with a smile, tea, coffee and milk and lovely fresh baked biscuits. The bed was big and comfortable and all the linen and towels were beautifully fresh. I can't fault it... More

Stayed here on a business trip and it was an absolute haven. Karen and John could not have been more welcoming or accommodating. Comfortable bed, and lots of lovely touches in the room. Delicious breakfast. Can't wait to come back for a proper holiday!

This property was the highlight of our three week tour of the UK and lived up to its description of luxury, boutique B and B. We stayed in the suite and were so content that we could easily have spent a week instead of two nights. We loved the romantic climb upstairs with the rope railing, the beautiful original artwork,...
