Wow, what a little gem of a restaurant in a beautiful location. Amazing food and service and a lovely unpretentious cozy environment. My partner and I were both made to feel very welcome from start to finish of the whole evening. Highly recommended.

The hotel is a family business and the staff could not be more welcoming. The room was lovely, there are very nice public areas, and the restaurant is brilliant including a terrific breakfast. Located near the bank of the Wye river, there are good walks nearby and many local attractions. Highly recommended.

Just back from a weekend at Parva Farmhouse. First visited here over 30 years ago and it was lovely to find that it is still a great place to stay. Received a very warm and friendly welcome and our room on the second floor had a very comfortable large bed with good quality bedding and a view over the river. Home made biscuits were a nice touch in addition to the water, tea and coffee provided. We ate in the restaurant both nights and the food was exceptional. Breakfast was also great with a varied menu of freshly cooked items that were a little different to the usual B&B menu. Marta is a great hostess and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This is a delightful b&b and we spent 2 nights, the second dining in the restaurant. The room we had was on the top floor with a lovely view of the River Wye. Our room was lovely with everything we needed, comfy bed and very smart bathroom, decorated and fitted out to a very high standard. A short walk into the quiet little Tintern and there was a choice of pubs and the stunning Tintern Abbey. Breakfast was so good especially the Parva cooked breakfast. Our evening meal on the Tuesday was the best we have eaten in a very long time and it is clear that Marta and Roger maintain exceptional standards in both hospitality and catering. Marta was a delightful host and we were made to feel so welcome. Will return again as it was such a relaxing and delightful place. Stay here and you will not be disappointed.

This is a beautiful bed and breakfast; Marta is a terrific host. We ate dinner one evening and stayed two nights while exploring Tintern in the daytime. The whole experience was wonderful. I would highly recommend the Parva Farmhouse as a bed & breakfast and also as a restaurant.

I booked two rooms for two nights for two people in this lovely little hotel. A friendly phone call before arrival and a friendly welcome, assistance with suitcases and shown to room got the visit off to a good start. Great location alongside the River Wye on the edge of the village on Tintern. This very old stone building has been refurbished to a very high standard both in the public rooms downstairs and the two bedrooms we were allocated. The two rooms allocated, one with a river view, were large, very clean and with good bathrooms too. The beds were large, comfortable and the bedding pristine. A large TV, coffee machine, high quality tea/coffee bags and home made biscuits added an extra touch. The breakfast was excellent. Lots of choice, high quality food and brilliant customer service. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, all were friendly, polite and helpful Happy to recommend to anyone visiting the Wye Valley

I stayed here 20-odd years ago and felt it was time to revisit; that happed on this short break here in Tintern. The hotel was exactly as I remembered it. It is a small private hotel with eight rooms with a quality restaurant that functions for guests and non-residents. We booked a room for a two-night stay with a table reservation for dinner on the second evening (that dinner is separately reviewed here on TA). On arrival we parked-up in the hotel carpark which is situated right on the bank of the River Wye. It should be noted that the hotel has it’s back to the A466 road, as it leaves the northern end of the village. Vehicular access is via a small turning right on the inside of a tight bend. Whereas the speed limit is, a variously observed and obeyed, 20mph, it is quite a hazardous exit. You just cannot see up or down the road as you pull out, and up, a slight rise. The hotel’s access road is also narrow and features a very narrow high-walled bend as it tracks around garages. It’s fine for most modem cars, but low speeds and caution should be exercised. By arrangement we parked well before check-in, so we could make the best of our first day. Inside the hotel is clean, traditionally classic, and sweet smelling. Ring the doorbell to attract owner Marta, who was without exception very helpful and agreeable. Rooms are situated on the first and second floors. I suspect that all rooms were to the same standard we found in our own room (No 8). We had a good view of the river and of the small garden below which features a large table and chairs, where drinks could be taken. The hotel also features a comfortable guest lounge, wine and spirits can be taken here. The room was really good with a clean ensuite. The bed was comfortable and sleep quality was excellent. The window sill was very wide allowing you to sit and take in the view. There was a TV with a remote, hot drink making facilities which was sat on a small desk (with a chair) and offering some drawers, and a good sized wardrobe. A hairdryer was available. The entire tiled ensuite featured a WC, a washbasin and a walk-in shower. The latter provided an excellent volume of hot water from a rainfall showerhead. The fixed half width shower screen prevented most of the water from ending up on the floor. I would have liked some grab handles in the shower. I rarely feel entirely safe when washing my feet; standing on one leg on a wet soapy surface is not really very safe. We took breakfast on both mornings and chose Shakshuka on the first morning. This was excellent and perfectly cooked, quire spicy but not hot and the eggs were runty (as they should be), the sourdough toast was a great texture foil. The only issue was that I tasted this all morning … my Partner didn’t so maybe it was my digestive system that was to blame. On the second morning we had scrambled eggs to which I ordered a sausage, whereas my Partner had just the toast provided. It was an excellent stay here, and Marta was so kind, attentive and helpful.

We stayed for several days at Parva, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The hosts are friendly, the food is delicious, the parking crucial, and the location perfect. Plus good advice for walks and things to do. We’d gladly return here if we’re in the area again.
