Lale Pension is a family owned pension operated by Ibrahim and his family who also own Charley’s Pension and Fulya Pension. The family make you so welcome and Ibrahim has a wealth of knowledge about the local area and in particular the trekking available. Lale is probably the ‘budget’ accommodation of the 3 but is still very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Our room had a great view of the lake. An excellent breakfast is served on the roof top terrace at Fulya Pension overlooking the lake. A buffet breakfast, the choice is very extensive and it is served inline with Covid regulations. Lale Pension is a short walk to the main town area. Highly recommended.

This is a must! I can’t state enough how hospitable and wonderful this place is.
First. Room is spacious and spotlessly clean. There is lots of hot water at all times.
The host Ibrahim is what makes it. He has created a friendly peaceful place to relax in wonderful scenery. He can sort arrange trips all over the area. We are off to Sagalossos tomorrow.

Egirdir was a "last minute" stop during my trip to Turkey, somehow unattended. But Lale has been a nice surprise. I was alone, in the hostel style room. It looked narrow (12 beds), but we were just 3 people, so comfortable. Nice view on the lake but, expecially, nice common area at Charlie's. Amazing breakfast (included in the price) and even better the dinner (not included but reasonable price), staff looks to love what is doing. It was nice the bike tour to the sunday market (real countryside experience) in a near village. There are many things to see around Egirdir but, finally, is reccomended if you need some days of full relax in an uncrowded place

Booked this place after reading other reviews and after staying there I could not believe it was the same place. Room is spartan and basic, washroom is old, tired and not clean, also bugs galore. Overall the whole place is the complete opposite of cosy. Looks more like a hospital room. Saw pictures of their other property (the new one which just finished renovations) and it looked nice, but this one is a pure dump. Had dinner at Charly's (their older original place), nice views but rooms look dumpy too. Overall, I don't understand the ratings of this place and believe me, I am not that fussy. Price wasn't that cheap either. That said, Ibrahim is a nice dude.

The room was far too expensive during sn almost off season period. The accommodation was very basic and should have cost half the price. That said, the staff are wonderful over at sister pension Charlys pension where evening meals are also provided. So this is not a personal attack.I'm just critical of the value for money aspect.

We stayed here with our family of 4 on the way to the coast from Cappadocia. We had a great double room ( with 2 extra single beds for the kids) with a stunning view of the lake. The room was very clean with immaculate clean white sheets and towels. We took time for a nice swim in the lake before heading out to town for a very authentic meal during Ramazan. Breakfast was at Charley's pension overlooking the lake - very cozy and homey. We loved this little town and it was a great stop with a friendly atmosphere.

This was our first trip to Turkey and we stayed, eating each night, at Lale Pension, in Egidir, a 2 hour bus ride from Antalya on the coast. I loved looking across the lake and down on the little town, with its historic mosque, baths and harbour, and the snow topped mountain freshness of it all. The Pension is ideally located, close to everything in Egirdir. The food here was great, all sourced from the bustling weekly village market and cooked the same day. Local pan fried fish, lots of fresh salad, olives to die for and good veggie options. My daughter and I shared a lovely wood panelled double room with brand new en-suite and lots of heat and hot water. Ibrahim, our host, and his father Haji served us impeccable turkish coffee in the bike/ pancake shop, with a book exchange that included Dostovesky! We were recommended an easy day section of the St Paul's way, and went with fellow travellers from Lale up the mountian to walk a spectacular roman road surrounded by alpine meadow flowers. We were given expert and clear directions by Ibrahim, who is an excellent linguist. Watched the royal wedding on the internet with fellow travellers and had our very own celebration when we got back to the pension. Wonderful! Like many others who visit once, I shall return.

After few days of walking and camping on St. Paul trail I was not too picky, just wanted a good shower. And I got it. However, place is a bit old, room smelled of cigarette smoke and it could be more clean. On windows there is a mosquito net but unfortunatly with some holes.
However, air con worked well, wifi too, breakfast was great and the owner is very helpful.

+Phenomenal views of the lake and mountains from our room

+Huge, clean room and bathroom

+Great breakfast

+Cheapest hotel of our 3 week trip through Turkey and Greece

-Our room was right beside a mosque's minaret, so we were all woken up at 3 am by the azan (call to prayer). This can't be helped, though.

-The hotel restaurant serves above average food at very high prices when compared to most Turkish restaurants.

I was there ! Yes !!! Actually not just me , me and my wife. Well, for that time, my girlfriend maybe I should say. It had been a couple of months since we met on internet and we had decided to meet face to face. I was already living in Egirdir and I needed to make a good choice...shortly, we are married now and still talking about our first days together in lale Pansion. Not just because of it was our first meeting but because of the amazing view we were waking to everyday and hot and smiley faces they were showing us too..actually, in just one sentence, lale Pansion is an important part of our history. And always will be..best wishes from Brazil. We are planning to stay again as soon as possible, to taste the same feeling again.
