Charlys pension Looking for something special? Than it's time to visit Charly's pension 'old house ' in Egirdir! Charly's pension was build up in the year 1890. To keep the historical atmosphere we have equipped it with some orginal furnitures of this time. We have a nice shady terrace where you can rest after your hiking or cycling tour and our 'own' beach is only few steps away. We have six cosy and clean rooms, two of them with own shower and we can also offer you a dormitory and campsite. For your wellbeing we serve cold drinks and homemade food, for breakfast you can choose between six different version. We have enough of words, come and experience for yourself our relaxing ambience in Charly's Pension. We are looking forward to seeing you soon in Egirdir!!!

Charlys is in an ideal location where the peninsula begins. Staff and owners are very helpful. Ibrahim was already communicating positively when I was planning the trip as I had to arrange a coach same day and was feeling apprehensive. The owner kindly picked me up at bus station (and it's only 10 minutes walk! ) Now that's service! Although room was a little dated, it had a comfortable bed and clean shower room. In the morning I saw the panoramic view over the lake. They have a cute seating area in the garden too Their breakfast was delicious; a full buffet of everything, served on a pretty terrace, just a few minutes walk away at their Fulya Pension. No need to be apprehensive here, an ideal spot for solo travellers to meet other travellers and strike up friendships; see below. If you'd like a tour, they'll gladly organise and are really enthusiastic about this region. It's very good value for money. So glad I found this place. Thanks so much for your hospitality guys.…

Pension Charly is situated at the base of the Lake Egirdir peninsula and has incredible roof terraces giving 360 degree views across the lake and onto the mountains. Charley’s is family-run, and owner Ibrahim Agartan is a wealth of information and insight about the real Turkey. Visitors will have a glimpse of the timeless and still-vibrant people and culture. He is a prime mover and leader of the St. Paul trail and serves as worker, spokesman and ambassador. Lake Egirdir is a beautiful place and there is no better way to experience it. STRONGLY RECOMMENDED

We stopped by this hotel on the way to Istanbul from Antalya,we were given a room From the top floor and has a stunning view of Lake Egirdir. This is not my first time in this area however my first time staying In Charlie’s Pension as I had stayed their first pension called Lale in 2007.Luckily I came back this time with my family.We loved the room and the breakfast which is prepared by the owners sister and it was delicious.Last but not least,their terrace has a stunning view where you will have your breakfast as well.Thank you İbrahim and all the other staff who is puts forth to make this place memorable.

This is the second time we have stayed at Charly's, first time we loved it, food was great, and the warm friendly family atmosphere, really made it for us, this time it was just ok, mainly due to the staff, who were young travellers, that do voluntary work, for there room, but they have no experience, and really couldn't be bothered, constantly sat on there phone, they are not doing this lovely little guest hourse any favours.

I stayed in the hostel dorm at Charly's for a few weeks. Location is great because you are near the main town (not stranded out on the island) and have a great view of the lake. Ibrahim and his staff know how to make you feel like family. From the wonderful breakfast in the mornings to the dinners with a view, you won't want to leave. In fact, I heard many people say time and time again that they wished they had known to stay multiple days as they were only passing through. Ibrahim has many wonderful excursions he can arrange for you to canyons, hiking, biking, Sagalassos (ancient city), Salda lake, and more. I recommend staying in this lovely town at Charlys for a few days to explore, relax, and enjoy your holiday!

We stayed at this excellent Pension for 3 nights and then went away walking and camping before returning for a few nights. On our return we said to eachother 'how nice it was to be home'. Obviously this is not our home but it shows you how welcome Ibrihim and his family make you feel. We had a lovely room overlooking the lake and the outstanding breakfast is served on the he rooftop terrace. Eveni g meals are equally nice and all cooked to order. Ibrihim has a wealth of knowledge about the local area and can transport you to a number of local walks that you can do as day walks. Egirdir itself is a beautiful town and well worth a visit. Thank you again Ibrihim we look forward to seeing you again next year.

Anyone visiting or passing through Eğirdir should stay in İbrahim's place, Charly's Pension... It is located on the little peninsula in the lake with wonderful views on both sides and it is cosy... Both the boss and the team are sincere and friendly..

We stayed at the Fulya Pension, but ate a couple of times at Charly's. Would particularly recommend the soup and the koftes, which are as good as any I have had in Turkey. Thank you to Ibrahim and family, and of course Sukru for making our stay so enjoyable.

Stayed here with the family for a 2nd time after 3 years. Egirdir is our spot for a short break on our way down to Antalya for the usual vacation. Had tried Charly’s for a second time this year. - great location with a great view of the lake - free wifi - good and friendly service/staff - had breakfast at Fulya Pension, which is owned by the same person, this place is about 30 meters away from Charly’s. Had great service and a somewhat tailormade breakfast which we greatly appreciated. The view from the top is unparalleled (most of the relevant photos are from the top of Fulya) - Charly’s is a pretty old building, and based on this, I recommend the place for a short term stay. Basis my three visits to Egirdir, believe I can safely state one should not be looking for any luxury places in Egirdir anyhow... - would I entertain staying at the same place during my next Egirdir visit? Yes...…

The location is the big highlight of Charly's Pension: In the heart of Egirdir, next to the lake, with a 360° breakfast room view over city and lake - we were amazed. The breakfast buffet itself was also the most comprehensive we had in Turkey so far, with top quality food. The room was small but very comfy and also included a nice view to the lake and the pleasant swoosh of the waves. The personnel was super friendly and made us immediately feel like at home. Also the rate was fair. It is basically thanks to Charly's Pension that we had such a great and comfortable time in Egirdir.
