We had a wonderful stay at Landwash Lodging. The charming cottage has everything we needed and the view from the living area of the harbor is breath taking. The cottage is tidy, clean, private, quiet and it’s location is perfect to explore Fogo Island & surrounding areas, including the popular Fogo Inn nearby. Madonna and Leo are great hosts &...

Madonna is a very welcoming lady and she provided us with everything we needed for our stay in Landwash Lodging. The fridge and pantry were stocked with lovely food for us. We loved the house and enjoyed hearing the family history about the property. The view from the B&B is lovely in the evening and you can see over to...

We made a reservation with Madonna and Leo at the Landwash Lodging in Joe Batt's Arm for our trip to Fogo Island, NFLD, in July. The night before we were scheduled to arrive, Madonna called me, and asked if we would be interested in taking her little cottage which it located right on the bay in Joe Batt's Arm...Price for...

Never did I realize how difficult it would be to find recommended lodging in Newfoundland. The province is known as Newfoundland and Labrador but for this review we'll call it Newfoundland. I had never made it to Fogo Island in the past so, by damned, this time we would make it. The Fogo island Inn provides a great draw so...

I am very thankful for the suggestion to go visit Fogo Island when going to Newfoundland. It really is an interesting and very beautiful island. What made our experience even better was staying at Landwash Lodging - Leo and Madonna as our hosts. We rented the house which had all the amenities that we could want and need. Madonna kept...

Small but furnished with everything we needed- kitchen, living/sitting room, 2 small bedrooms and a Bathroom. Lovely view from the back patio. Madonna welcomed us...

We stayed 2nights at 50 Main St in a 3 bed house and everything you would want to enjoy a few days on beautiful Fogo Island and in the town of Joe Batt's Arm. Madonna and Leo were amazing a wealth of knowledge on the area and shared the best places to visit and explained all of the hiking trails....

There are two places you can stay - the B and B (which is where the main picture on this review of) or a separate stand alone 2 bdr house with a back patio on the water. I wasnt in the BB so...

We had an amazing time at its beautiful place. Our kids enjoyed the beach and views. They loved having access to internet. The home was clean and fully stocked for breakfast goodies right down to pancakes! And the homemade bread and jams were a bonus. Thanks so much for coming to our rescue when our other reservations were cancelled on...

We did not stay in the B&B but in the self-catering unit. First of all: Madonna and Leo are just wonderful people and hosts, warm hearted and welcoming. Arriving we found wonderful homemade bread and jams awaiting us. A special treat. The house was clean, has a nice small deck overlooking the bay towards Fogo Island Inn and was all...
