Comfortable self-catering lodges set in a woodland park near Loch Ness. The lodges sleep 2 to 6, in our new luxury one bedroom lodges, our cosy two bedroom lodges (one double room and one twin room) and our three bedroom lodges (one double and two twin bedrooms) the lodges feature open-plan lounge/dining rooms, colour Freesat television, well equipped kitchens, shower rooms (some lodges also have bath), bed linen and towels provided. Children and pets are welcome. Kiltarlity also has a casual tennis court, children's play area and guest laundry. The park is ideally placed for visiting the magnificent mountain scenery of Loch Ness and the Strathglass glens, and there is an abundance of wildlife, from red squirrels in the nearby woods to deer and golden eagles in the Glen Affric National Nature Reserve. You can take a boat trip to see the Moray Firth dolphins, or a cruise on Loch Ness to search for Nessie! For a more active holiday there is excellent fishing in lochs and rivers (salmon, brown trout), there are many golf courses nearby, as well as pony-trekking, and hill and forest walks. You can also explore the heritage of the Highlands, visit castles and whisky distilleries, or join the locals at a ceilidh of traditional music. The park is also an ideal touring base from which to visit the Black Isle, Skye, Speyside or even John o' Groats. The park is 6 miles from Beauly, which has good train and bus connections, as does Inverness (14 miles), where there is also an aiport. We are open all year round, for short breaks or longer holidays.

My girlfriend booked a lodge for a week as a last minute birthday present after struggling to find anywhere free due to the current pandemic and it worked out great.

On arrival we were given the key by a staff member and were shown to our lodge. We found the lodge to be very well kitted out. It had clearly been well used over the years however they are currently in the process of upgrading them and I think ours was one of the last to be done.

This venue is extremely dog friendly which is a massive plus for us as we have an very active pointer and are outdoorsy people. We found that there was no need to pack dog bowls or poo bags and there were even some dog biscuits provided.

We booked the 6 berth lodge which gave my partner, young son (4), dog and myself loads of room. I think 6 people may have been slightly cramped but if you are out most of the time it’s not an issue.

The kitchen was fine and came complete with basic utensils including tin foil, kitchen roll etc which is always handy.

The towels provided where clean and the bathroom was fine also. The shower appeared to be run from the mains as the pressure was great.

There are small electric fires every room meaning you could adjust to your own personal preference.

The grounds itself are really nice with a few walks including a steep track that leads down to a river. There is also another walk not to far away however it means initially crossing the fast country road which isn’t ideal for a young family.

There is a small play park for kids on site, a badminton net and tennis court. There is also possibly a swimming pool however due to the pandemic we couldn’t use this.

The location means it’s only 8 miles to Beauly for your shopping needs including a Chinese and Indian takeaway that deliver to the lodges.

For those looking to explore, Inverness is a short drive away, Loch Ness is approximately 35 minutes and Dornoch beach about 1 hour away. All worth a visit.

Finally the staff were very friendly, seemed genuinely interested in what you were up to and were more than happy to help with everything.

Highly recommended and would visit again.

After having our October Holiday cancelled we decided to try and find a lodge very last minute. By chance we came across a late availability on for a Sunday - Thursday stay on Kiltarlity Lodge facebook page, and oh my goodness I was so happy!
The lodge itself was perfect and just what I wanted, a little cabin in the woods with a hot tub. It was well equipped, cosey and just great. Picnic bench outside for you to sit at by your own little bbq, also there was a little patio set on the decking for you to sit at too.
There was a play park in the centre which I thought was ideal as we could see our child if she wanted to go and play there. We made use of the badminton and tennis courts and thought it was great that rackets / balls / shuttlecocks were provided in a box at the side, would have been slightly gutted if we got there and didn't have. There is a communal fire pit area and again there was kindling / logs / coal etc all provided for those wanting to toast marshmallows like us.
It would have been nice to know that there were ongoing works onsite when we booked, however they didnt affect our stay, as the new lodges are almost complete so there was barely any noise just a number of workers coming in and out each day, we were nestled up in a little corner though and all the works were at the opposite side.
We arrived out of hours, so didnt meet anyone, but the next morning Judy came and introduced herself and then gave us a guide around the park, got to see inside the new lodges and oh my goodness they are AMAZING! We are going to come back just the 2 of us, after our wedding to stay in one :).

We arrived in the beautiful location and my wife and I immediately realised this place was top quality.

Park Staff were mulling around tending to grass and maintenance that wasn’t intrusive but you knew they were keeping the place spotless.

We arrived at our chalet and found everything to be spotless and in good order with complimentary tea and coffee and a full suite of cooking utensils in the kitchen. Genuinely didn’t want for anything. Also, great very clean hot tub!

The reception was very friendly and if they weren’t there you could conveniently call them, but they were never too far away.

The park has a fire pit to sit round and the bin areas are out the way.

There are free to use washing machines and dryers too which we thought were a great help to us considering we had our 7month old son with us.

On the whole a great place to stay and will definitely return.

Thanks so much guys!

My partner and I stayed here for 4 nights. We were delighted to find out on arrival that we were staying in one of the newly built lodges, Thistle No.20. Absolutely beautiful lodge with top of the range facilities and decor. Having a stand alone bath in the bedroom was amazing! The hot tub was fantastic, with views of the surrounding trees. Everything was thought of including quality plastic glasses for using in the hot tub. It's an excellent location for exploring the area, we did various walks including Loch Affric, Dog and Plodda falls and the River Beauly circuit. Nothing nicer than a days walking to come back to the hot tub and beautiful lodge. We met a few staff members who were lovely and friendly. We will definitely be back!

Have used Solid Luxury many times before but this was our first visit to Kiltarlity. We stayed in the new Monarch Lodges and as usual for Solid Luxury they were excellent. Kids loved the tennis courts and weather was even kind enough for a couple of BBQs!

Only grumble from the kids was the wifi was a bit ropey in the evening when most people logged on and made streaming even Netflix impossible but most of the time the speed was ok.

We took a Gazebo to cover the Hot Tub which meant we got lots of use out of it regardless of the weather. Would be great if Solid Luxury offered a gazebo rental at all of their sites to save us having to bring ours from home?

Most of the major supermarkets in Inverness deliver to the lodges so we had placed an order in advance to arrive after we’d checked in - this was ideal.

Kiltarlity itself was a great place to explore some beautiful parts of the Highlands. The kids loved the boat trip to Loch Ness and I particularly enjoyed a day exploring Glen Affric which has to be seen to be believed. We were even close enough for a day trip to the Glenfinnan Viaduct which is a must for any Harry Potter fans.

We had an amazing holiday and can only offer our thanks to the team at Kiltarlity and Solid Luxury.

We returned here in September 21 after a great holiday the year before. Once again the holiday was fantastic. The lodges are of a great standard and you can see that the owners are continuing to make improvements to the site.

By chance we ended up in the exact same lodge as the year before but in that year they had installed central heating. You can also see they are working on enclosed balcony areas which is great when you have dogs.

We had our 2 dogs with us and it's a lovely touch that bowls / treats / towels etc are provided for the dogs.

Overall another excellent stay. Great accommodation and a great base for exploring the Highlands .

We look forward to visiting again sometime !

Due to our holiday abroad being cancelled we managed to get a last minute booking at Kiltarlity Lodges, and we are so glad we managed to get it. From the moment we drove in to the lodges, Judy was there to greet us, and gave us all the info we required, and was also on hand for any info we required. We enjoyed good walks within the area, and Beauly and Inverness was just a short drive away, if you fancied lunch or a nice canal walk. We would recommend Kiltarlity lodges and we will certainly be visiting again. Ps There are also new lodges being built at the moment at the site, and they look really nice.

We had a lovely winter break in Thistle Lodge 19 from February 5th 2022. We stay with Solid Luxury at least once a year and the main reason is for the cleanliness and comfort of their lodges. Once again they fulfilled our expectations.

We love the fact we can take our dog and the hard flooring and and leather couches make cleaning up before departure very easy.

We had lots of snow for our stay which was fantastic and we had nice food in several establishments close by to the site.

Customer service was 5* as ever.

Thank you Solid Luxury. We will see you again at one of your sites soon.

Lodge was extremely clean. Decor was basic and unfortunatly didn't have the warm cosy feel I have experienced in other solid luxury or other lodge accommodation, a little colour on walls or a rug would have warmed the feeling. Shower was also very poor and slow running. Hot tub however was again super clean and hot and the site was peaceful. We did enjoy our stay and would return but felt overpriced compared to others we have stayed in else where which have felt more luxurious.

Each one has a different location so without knowing which lodge you have booked you won’t lnow until arrival. The site is very quiet and scenic so I wouldn’t imagine your privacy would be interrupted at all. We didn’t feel overlooked and ours was to the side of our lodge.
