We arrived at this hotel, which is really a restaurant with rooms, early on a Sunday afternoon, and despite the restaurant being full and the staff run off their feet, we received the warmest welcome - a table and chairs were put on the family's own terrace so we could sit in the sun whilst we drank our beer and... This is a wonderful hotel. But it is in a remote village and needs your custom! The food is great, the welcome warm, and the location splendid. Small simple rooms have small balconies with glorious views. The family running the hotel have been there for generations and treat guests with warmth and affection. A real treat to stay here.

This was one of the stops on our walking tour of the Appenines and it was such a fantastic experience. The hospitality was warm, welcoming, generous and friendly and we loved it! The rooms are simple but so comfortable ans clean and we had a balcony overlooking the river and the tiny, quiet village. We really felt far away from... More

We passed through here on a weeklong walking trip and were blown away by the genuine hospitality, good food and welcoming atmosphere. Marco had been an amazing host! We wish we could've stayed longer and will definitely try to come back!

I stayed here for two nights whilst on a walking tour with my parents. On arrival we were immediately greeted by a welcoming Marco and a cold beer after a long hike. The rooms are basic (I had an impressively compact en suite!) but spotlessly clean and comfortable. The food was incredible. Cereal, fruit, eggs, home made bread, cakes, biscuits... More

Amazing family run hotel. Welcoming, relaxed, nothing is too much trouble. The food is delicious, local wild boar, home made pasta and deserts including ice cream from a Carpigiani Ice cream maker set in the Bar! Rooms are clean, comfortable but basic, no televisions/ phones....excellent! Walking is breathtaking, make sure you have a dip in the cold stream pools.....we will... More

I stayed two nights here on a walking tour. My single room was a reasonable size (not the usual cupboard space) with a spacious en-suite. Both were very clean and comfortable. The evening meals I had were excellent and provided a taste of some local dishes. On the Saturday evening the restaurant was well patronised by local residents and everyone... More

One second visit... We drove 4 hours over the mountains to spend another night here, after a fabulous stay last year. The family welcomed us back with smiling generosity and we had a fabulous dinner. Be sure to try crescentini... Warm puffy breads with local cheeses and home made pickles. Before dinner, we took a stunning walk up to Monteacuto,... More

My partner and I planned to stay here for a couple of days as we'd worked out that it's the best-positioned hotel for exploring the apennines on foot, but we couldn't quite pull ourselves away and ended up staying an extra night. As others have mentioned, the rooms are basic, spotless and have great views, but it's the warm welcome... More

Most reviews of this inn will point out that the rooms are quite basic - this is true but everything is very clean and the beds are comfortable and there is wardrobe space. We had a room at the back with a small verandah and a good view. We also had a (compact but completely adequate) bathroom - it is... More
