Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We have had an amazing stay at Emerald Coast Gites. The whole family and especially Lesley have been so kind and helpful during these 2 weeks. Our 2 young children enjoyed the location playing with slides, pedal cars, etc... @ the whole family: thanks a lot for your kindness and take care.

We have visited Emerald Coast Gites before and keep coming back as its our perfect get away holiday. Beaches, good food and great company never fail to lift our spirits. This year with Covid-19 we were impressed with the balance of safety measures (numerous cleaning stations, masks in enclosed spaces, limiting numbers in the pool, apps to order drinks) and the limited interference with your holiday. This week we stayed in No 2 Vielle Grange, which is advertised as one of the larger gites and it didn't disappoint. Very spacious with 4 bedrooms including 2 doubles 1 en suite. Down stairs 2 large living spaces with a big kitchen. The highlight being the mini veranda at the front getting the sun in the afternoon and evening and the dining table and BBQ out the back, perfect for lunch and dinner all fresco. Together with all the usual touches, Lesley and Simon continue to offer an unbeatable holiday destination in Brittany. In what has been a difficult year for the tourism industry its great to see they have adapted and are thriving

Lesley and Simon have created a fantastic family gite complex in a beautiful part of France. The gites are set around a grassed courtyard with play areas, and even an indoor play area, to keep the kids entertained while the adults can relax. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they are happy to book activities, restaurants, and give advice on days out to enable you to make the most of your holiday. This is our fourth visit and I'm sure we will be returning for many years to come. The kids talk about their holidays here for the rest of the year and are always asking when we can go back.

This is our third trip to ECG and we have already booked for next year. We have never been anywhere else that makes both parents and children so happy.
The kids all quickly formed a 'pack' and spent the mornings and evenings playing with other children in the safe gardens (and with guinea pigs) and we enjoyed the middle of each day as a family at the beautiful local beaches, walking, paddling, rockpooling and sandcastle building. The swimming pool was also heavily used by our kids, thank goodness it is heated and we had fluffy robes to chnage into (the weather was warmer than the UK, but so nice to be warm in the evenings when the temperature dipped).
Mummy and daddy enjoyed happy hour and the delicious plats du jour - we only cooked one evening. A true break.

Simon and Lesley very nice hosts. Doing as much as they can whislst and conforming to covid 19 protocols. Ie cocktails to your door and other initiatives.
Stayed in number 2 with some friends.
Gite was very nice. Farmhouse style and cosy.
First Floor flooring is noisy but this is due to how they are constructed and didn't bother us.
Childrens play equipment is high quality. Pool is nice and the feel of the resort is nice.
Lovely countryside and close to lovely beaches.
The pre-cooked meals are nice-if you need a break from cooking and the seafood platter was fantastic.
The only negative is that in some of the harder to reach areas ie under clothes racks etc it was dusty.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The set up is great with lots of play equipment, soft play and themed food nights in a safe area for kids. Lots of touches to make things easier like daily bread delivery & a little onsite shop. It actually felt like a holiday for parents, we’ll definitely be back!

A wonderful break and the site standards were excellent with COVID-19 safety measures in place which didn’t stop the fun and relaxation for all of us. Lesley and Simon introduced bar/ cocktail delivery service which was fantastic. The beaches and resorts were not busy so safe to enjoy ourselves stress-free. Lots to do onsite with children’s play area, beautiful clean pool undercover and happy hour 6-7pm, film night for kids, treasure hunt, pizza and crepe night. This is our 6th visit in 4 years and it was still amazing! I travelled on my own with my two younger ones and arrived to such a friendly welcome. Everything is catered for!
I highly recommend this resort for families with all age children, plus people who want an amazing base to travel to all the gorgeous beaches/ landmarks, enjoy a drink on an evening and enjoy the facilities (minus children), it’s still fab. I’d be happy to go there with my husband without the kids (but they wouldn’t let us 🤣). We all felt very safe and looked after. Enjoy! Thank you Lesley and Simon for an amazing tome as always. This was our second time staying here. Lesley and Simon are the perfect hosts to ensure you have a pleasant stay. The site is perfectly set up for families, and its great for allowing the kids roam and play free around the site safely. It's perfectly located to explore the local beaches and historic places of interest. A very enjoyable stay and highly recommended.

We had a lovely time over Easter weekend. We felt completely safe with the Covid precautions in place. The children (4&6) had a great time on the various swing sets, trampoline, indoor playground, and the pool! The Easter egg hunt was amazing and much larger than I imagined! We enjoyed the morning pastries, cocktail delivery service, and delicious evening meals. Our gite was comfortable and clean. Lesley, Simon, and their family were very accommodating. We would love to return someday!

Hi. I think you can fly Dublin to Nantes or Rennes. Or you can get the ferry - both Irish Ferries and Brittany Ferries come into Roscoff. About 1h30 from us

There were no dogs when we went and they do have cats as pets who wander around. Plus Guinea pigs, so not sure they would allow dogs to run around. Very secure place and lovely area for the children to play freely.

Brittany Ferries from Portsmouth to St. Malo, 8 hour on the boat, around 54-60 minutes to the site. Portsmouth to Caen, 6 hours on the boat, 2 1/2 hours to the site. boats have play area for toddlers, entertainment for children depending on crossing and time of year.
