This is a really amazing experience. Peter is a perfect host offering a truly bespoke stay - nothing is too much trouble, and everything just happens seamlessly. The Bollinger Suite is without doubt the best room in the area, and Peter prepares whatever breakfast you want when you drag yourself downstairs - yes, it's on two levels - to your breakfast table. Parking completely secure, and a socket available to recharge the car if needed. Faultless.

We had the pleasure of staying at the Lodge this weekend: a bespoke experience where nothing was too much trouble. Peter was a fantastic host, making us feel welcomed and at home. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with everything we needed. I really could not recommend more highly. We could order our breakfast upon request and everything was cooked fresh by Peter (the preserves were to die for). It was truly a wonderful experience and would definitely stay again.

Breakfast was just what I asked for. Location was just what I needed. Host was very accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. I had all the space I needed to complete a project I brought with me. Very peaceful place. There was nothing I did not like at all. In fact I have booked again for later in the year, knowing I will not have any concerns about staying there.

I'm so glad I found this place to stay. I needed to be in Nottingham early morning but find the majority of hotels there pretty soulless and extortionate parking. So, searching for something outside the city centre I found The Lodge. It's very easy to get to, and near enough to make it an easy trip into the centre.
Peter takes the experience up a notch. His attention to customer experience he's been honed over decades and has a very interesting background. As a consequence, the experience is very personal right from the start. Offering a glass of wine on arrival was very welcome, a discount at the nearby gastropub (No takeaway dinners in the rooms for understandable reasons), and a 'whatever you'd like' approach to breakfast. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, being looked after and well designed, comfortable accommodation. I hope to be back!

My Wife and I recently stayed at the Lodge in the Bollinger Suite for a two night stay with a wedding around the corner, arriving early was not an issue and Peter Could not have been more helpful even running us down to the weeding via a cashpoint to save us Taxi.
The room was very large and perfectly suitable for 4 even though there was just the two of us, an eclectic mix of decoration and furniture all worked in together with SKY Q on the large flat screen TV which had recently been updated by the looks of it.
Comfortable beds where we both slept very well and a view of the golf course from the main balcony, the lounge area of the room is large with a big corner sofa that was a good place for us to relax and chill out after the wedding in the morning and to base for easy access to Nottingham or a short walk to a number of local restaurants where staying at the Lodge gets you a discount.
On Arrival you are informed there is no breakfast menu, this is because you can order "anything" within reason as long as it is before 21:00 the night before. My wife put this to the test more than I did however over the stay 4 different variations of breakfast were all well cooked and hot when needed to be as well as cold in reverse. The local produce used was excellent and served by Peter who was great fun with a large and entertaining personality. We will certainly stay again when the opportunity arises.

This is an exceptional Bed and Breakfast, which is truly luxurious. The host Peter could not have been more welcoming or helpful during our stay, he even offered to drop us of at our party in the evening as it was raining! The room was beautiful with all the luxury that we needed for a perfect evening away. The room was immaculately clean, the bed was extremely comfy and the soft furnishing were very tasteful. Breakfast was pre-ordered to whatever we wanted and served exactly at the time we specified. It is clear that Peter takes pride in providing the best experience possible for your break. We can not recommend this place or Peter, highly enough.

We stayed at the lodge in Ruddington in May 2024 for a friends wedding. On arrival we were offered a lovely glass of wine which we drank in the garden. We had the larger of the two suites on the top floor. This suite would comfortably sleep a family of 6 . There are two double/king size beds and two single. There is a huge comfortable sofa and is well appointed with a lovely bathroom, a commercial hairdryer, water and tea and coffee making facilitiesThe room has a beautiful view across the golf course. We slept so well in the extremely quiet room and very comfortable beds. We had our evening meal in the Ruddington arms which was lovely and only a 3 minute stroll from the Lodge. Peter is the perfect host! The following morning we had a fabulous breakfast which we were able to order the day before. We literally could order whatever we wanted! I cannot recommend the Lodge highly enough and would definitly return if I was in the area again.

We stayed at the Lodge en route to Northumberland. We had a really great stay. The garden room is very clean and well appointed. We were offered a drink of wine when we arrived. Peter couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. We had a very comfortable night and a choice of what we wanted for breakfast. We had poached eggs which were perfectly cooked. And a nice big pot of tea. Peter is a great host. We would very highly recommend the Lodge.
