Travellers' Choice
The hotel is ideally suited for exploring the highlands and is only a 20 minute drive from the Skye bridge. We have 10 en suite rooms. At the Strathcarron we extend a warm Scottish welcome to all our guests and provide good wholesome food and a well stocked bar, which includes many a malt and some real ales too. We hope that we may be able to welcome you here in the future.

A very warm welcome from Becca and Richard, it was a pleasure to stay at the Strathcarron Hotel for a couple of days. The breakfasts and evening meals were most welcome, nothing was too much trouble. The lounge area was homely.

Sorry for the late review. Stayed here on Thursday 10th September 2020 for one night on our Scottish Highlands Road Trip. Family of 4, Myself & Husband, Mum & Dad. We were the only residents that night as Hotel was closed because of Covid (managed to book through a blip online) but wasn’t a problem & had the most Entertaining night of our whole week and the latest night lol thanks to the Hospitality of Richard & Becca! Mum (Benny) & Becca became the best of friends!!! Mum was even given a gift on our departure of a can of McEwans larger, a new drink she tried & liked being an ardent bitter drinker. Breakfast was great & all Covid Safe! Will definitely re-visit if we ever get that way again 👍 Again thanks again Richard & Becca for your Hospitality 😍

I was was on a four day bike packing trip with a friend and my camping equipment got damaged and failed, we needed somewhere to stay that night on the eighteenth of July. Hotels had only re-opened a few days after the Covid shutdown and were having to implement strict rules. Richard, the owner, told us he wasn’t taking any more bookings due to the situation, when we explained our predicament he offered us a camping pod which was separate from the hotel. This was an absolute God send, we arrived at eleven pm absolutely soaked. We were given an excellent welcome and had a great craic with Richard over a pint and a whiskey. We were given sole use of the shower block and a cracking breakfast in the morning. Richard and his staff went above and beyond for us and we really appreciate it. I will definitely return to the Strathcarron hotel when I’m in the area. Thanks again Richard, and apologies for the delay on the review, I don’t write many.

Stopped here for refreshments. Richard and Becka are very friendly and welcoming hosts. There was a sweet wee dog called Lassie too. Covid protocols in place - would definitely stop again if up that way, and try some food next time.
