I was there at the start of September, in a 2 nights corporate team building. Even that i didnt pay anything i was extremely disappointed. On the pictures it looks great but... - i get there at 14:00 and i get my room. It was supposed to be a studio, but for them studio means just 1 double bed and... More

I see some mixt reviews here but in my opinion this place it's just fine for the money you pay. I usually don't have high expectations and l am an easy to please tourist. So in this place you can find a really quiet place, nice breakfast, nice views towards the sea. The room is spacious enough with a big... More

I stayed three days in Kalkaria with my family in the end of August 2016. Best food in Bulgaria by far!!! Amazing views, nice, large apartments and nice pools, although dead cold... It was quite empty, even during the weekend, no noise! I enjoyed the stay and will be back!

I visited it on middle of august but it was like end of season: a very relaxing locations, not at all crowded, with pools for every one. (The water was a little bit cold.) We stayed in an one bedroom apartment with a fully equipped kitchen. (As a mini-market is near by it is easy to prepare your meals.) For... More

PLUS: Good location and facilities: nice and comfortable rooms with large balconies, several swimming pools, a good restaurant inside the resort, pool bars, yoga and gym instructors, shuttle to the beach, golf fields nearby. Wonderful restaurant El Balcon del Mundo (design and location), nice sttaff at the restaurant and their daily offer of fresh fish from capture. The generous self-service... More

Im so exciting from this place, because we found there the silence that we need it. Pools are clean and cold, the view is amazing and the restaurant is absolutely top with great service and menu. Our studio was okay and i liked the balcony very much.

Everything about this place is a joke: - it' been built to the lowest standards - it's been furnished in cheaprst wY one can imagine...and it's still hard to imagine HOW cheap it looks, feels and actually IS - it was never intended to offer any value to visitors - it has ridiculously untrained and underpaid staff - they're saving... I especially enjoy the view from the pool and from the restaurant. Also, the restaurant El Balcon del Mundo serves good quality food (not so impressive for breakfast). Be sure to make a reservation for dinner. On the other hand, I would not recommend the bistro, where the food is average and expensive. Almost all apartments have big terraces with... More

Yes, there is a sewage smell everywhere. The resort overall is in dire need of maintenance. The pictures of the resort do not accurately display the mold and mildew all over the buildings, sidewalks, and pools. The entire complex is in a rundown state. There's absolutely no maintenance being done by the property management team to ensure longevity of grounds,... More

Pros: Staff tries to be nice and accomodating, although most of staff are kids and don't know a lot of info. View from restaurant is nice. Nice pools next to apartments. There is a convenience store open until 2100. Cons: pungent smell of sewage everywhere, very unpleasant. Bistro is very expensive and food is not recommended. No elevators and walking... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Kaliakria Apart Hotel is located in one of the most picturesque spots of the Black Sea region, about 60km north of Varna. The town of Balchik with its new modern port for sailing yachts is very close. The area inspires with quiet bays and secluded beaches, as well as with the recently created championship golf courses and the annual amateur sailing competitions like the International Black Sea Regatta and Kaliakria Cup.There has been a generous planning of interior and exterior space with maximum exposure towards the unique view of the picturesque bay located between Balchik and Kavarna. Created in harmony with the ecological and topographic character of the area, the project is designed by the Spanish architects Kloster & Notenson and elegantly combines Mediterranean style with local finishing touches such as wrought iron railings, wooden pergolas, stone walls and flooring, terracotta-coloured walls, well-kept gardens with over 60 types of plants, bushes and trees, charming water installations, etc.The spacious apartments have large balconies and, without exception, all have a view to the pools or the golf course and the see beyond. ... more   less
