This was our first visit here, on a weeks exchange through Interval. We were fortunate to pick it up at short notice, and even more fortunate that the weather was superb. We had a beautiful and comfortable apartment, and felt totally ‘safe’. Face coverings must be worn in reception - none of the other public areas ie swimming pool etc are open at present. There were sanitizers available and the outside seating was, or could be easily wiped down before/after every use. The views from the top of the Redoubt hill are quite stunning! However, a car is essential, the roads are very narrow and steep, as one would expect being in Devon. The beds were so comfortable and there was nothing we lacked, except for one slight issue! The hairdryer isn’t within reach of a plug and mirror at the same time! A small irritation obviously. The staff were helpful, and welcoming, we couldn’t fault our visit. Inevitably, there wasn’t much ‘social distancing’ going on in places like Dartmouth and Brixham, but away from the crowds, up on the cliffs and country paths it was glorious and relatively peaceful! …
Just spent a week here. Stayed at the Turner appt. Appt was spotlessly clean and kitchen is well equipped even had a dishwasher. Stunning views of dartmouth river and back garden. Managment and staff are extremely helpfull. A car is needed to explore the beauty of the area. I highly recommend
Stayed in the Raleigh apartment with the turret! Had an excellent time. The place is fantastic and very well appointed and comfortable. Staff were friendly and available as needed. Spent New Years Eve on the turret sewing in the New Year with magnificent views over Dartmouth. The only slight down side was the cost of electricity for 6 days - £40. Thought that was a bit steep!
My husband and I were fortunate to receive an RCI exchange into a 1 bedroom apartment, Drake, at Kingswear Park Club. Kingswear is in a unique location - a ferry ride across the River Dart from Dartmouth. Our apartment was very comfortable and a good size for 2 people. It was impeccably clean and had all the amenities (cooking equipment, bedroom linen and bathroom supplies) required for a relaxing holiday. The view from the lounge room opening double doors was absolutely stunning looking across the River to Dartmouth and the grandeur of the Britannia Royal Naval College. We spent wonderful days exploring the surrounding area by public transport. We visited Dartmouth, Brixham, Torquay, Babbacombe, Paignton, Totnes and Agatha Christie’s holiday home, Greenway. I would highly recommend doing the Round Robin tour which includes transport by steam train, river boat and bus between several towns depending on your departure point. The commentary on the river boat journey was excellent, both informative and amusing. As mentioned in previous reviews Kingswear Park Club is at the top of a hill (and why you get the sensational views). We were able to receive our daily exercise by walking down and up the hill each day after our day’s outing. The hill is steep and requires a mediocre level of fitness however we did it every day with stops (ostensibly to enjoy the view but really to catch our breath) along the way. At the end of each day it was an achievement to return to our lovely apartment and be able to enjoy the superb views from the top of the hill.…
We spent a lovely week on holiday with family here. The apartment shares a pool, tennis courts and fantastic grounds with the other residents. The views are amazing and it is a very relaxing place to spend a holiday.
