My husband and I are walking the Camino Portuguese and, without knowing anything about this place, booked a room for the night. I think we were the only customers on that day but when we arrived the room was pretty heated for us. And although the dinner hours were not until late in the evening a lady at the kitchen...

I really loved this cousy boutique hotel. Rooms are fantastic and beautifully appointed. Amazing the view on the nearby river those waters are conveyed into the swimming pool. Breakfast superb and service warm and plenty of attention!

As we were walking the Coastal Portuguese Camino, most of our accommodations were quite basic. When we arrived here, we were blown away by the whole experience. The buildings and grounds are beautiful and ancient. There were flower pots everywhere. So many different places to sit and enjoy the grounds. The staff was excellent and friendly. The room that we...

Every detail was exceptional, the grounds, so beautiful, the staff, very friendly and accommodating, went out of there way to make things perfect. The grounds with different sitting areas to see all the views, the room, to perfection, great linens, towels, amazing views. You must experience this

We were on a walking holiday and this was the perfect place to stay after a long, sweaty day. We loved the swimming pool which was refreshingly cool but might be a bit bracing on a less warm day. The girl who checked us in and was very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was great, dinner was great and our room...

This is an incredibly beautiful hotel tucked away just outside Caldas de Reis. The grounds are magnificent and the rooms and public areas are superb. We wish we could have stayed longer just to soak up all the atmosphere and ambiance, but we were walking the Camino and one night was all we'd allocated. The dinner on the lawn as...

"Lost" in the countryside, it's simply the best place for a (short or long) stay! Extreme care and attention from the owners and employees and a property greatly maintained, will for sure deserve another visit.

Walking towards the end of my camino this was my 13th hotel stay and it was simply the best! It is an experience in itself staying here and I could have stayed a week if I had had the time. Everywhere in the hotel revealed another lovely surprise. My room was simply perfect. For me, the two outstanding memories are...

An beautiful hotel, set in glorious surroundings, it is set on the banks of a river, and at night we left our bedroom window open to hear the sound of the water rushing over the rocks, and drifted off into a wonderful sleep, in the very comfy bed. The gardens are delightful, with lots of different seating areas, so you...

Absolutely loved this hotel. We arrived mid evening, as it was simply somewhere to stay on the way to another location the following day. Only wish we'd stayed here for longer. The place is stunning, steeped in history and the service matched everything else, perfect. Our room, Camille, was beautiful and very spacious. It overlooked the grounds and the ruins...
