Detailed Reviews
We had a highly enjoyable stay in this lovely B&B . David and Caroline Nolder made us feel extremely welcome in what was their family home. Bedrooms were well-appointed and comfortable and the location was perfect for both access to the village of Bruton and for nearby walks. Breakfast did not involve traditional bacon and eggs but was original, healthy and utterly delicious. Caroline was a mine of information about local restaurants, taxi forms and sights worth visiting.

Actually, there's lots more to make it THE place to stay in Bruton: delightful and entertaining hosts, exquisitely furnished rooms, always something interesting to look at on the walls, imaginative and healthy muesli breakfasts. But I have never seen such perfect roses in the little front and back gardens. Subtle choice of colours, plentiful and luxuriant blooms, even the leaves were shining and perfect, devoid of blemish. Enough to make one jealous, but I know I'm not in that league.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Turks Hall in Bruton. The hosts Caroline and David are a warm, friendly informal couple who looked after us very well. The room was very cosy and clean and full of wonderful books. Breakfasts were rich in gingered fruit and homemade muesli. Small attention to detail like sherry in the bedroom and welcoming tea and flapjack on arrival makes such a difference to how at home one feels. We will definitely stay there again on visits to this beautiful area and for anyone on a budget who wants for example to visit the Hauser gallery or take in the joys of Bruton and its surroundings this is a thoroughly recommended place to stay.

We will be back! Why? Caroline and David made our three day break in Bruton special by welcoming us into their home and ensuring our stay was a wonderful experience. A superb breakfast of homemade muesli, granola, compote, smoothies and excellent coffee followed a comfortable night's sleep in a warm and cosy room. Thanks to our hosts thoughtfulness we enjoyed a day at The Newt and listening to their recommendations, we had excellent meals at The Chapel and a fun evening at The Pickled Pear. Do go, there is a lot to see in the area and Turks Hall is the perfect place to stay.

Our 4 night stay with Caroline + David was friendly + comfortable. We felt relaxed + at home and were able to come + go as needed.
The parking is on local streets and it is busy but, having said that, we always got a space.
The room + shower room were compact, comfortable and had all we needed. The breakfast time was flexible and the food was fresh + tasty.
Thank you for a lovely stay which enabled us to enjoy time with the friends we had come to see.

Turks Hall comes very highly recommended and not just the hospitality, location and room, but because they were so accommodating after a cancelled event last year and the need to reschedule. David and Caroline are wonderful hosts and went the extra mile to make our stay one to remember. The breakfast and treats in the room were truly excellent, the bed super-comfortable and room and shower beautifuly clean. If you are considering booking - do it!

Turks Hall is the delightful, warm and comfortable home of Caroline and David, who welcomed me so warmly when I arrived very tired after a long week. The bed was wonderful, a lavish and big bath to soak in when I got back after a long day and the breakfast was absolutely superb, with homemade compote, muesli and fresh fruit, warm croissants and the most perfect coffee! I will definitely be back - Caroline is the sort of person we all want in our lives; caring and interested. Just perfect - Thank you so much!
