We stayed for four nights on a tour. Hotel amenities were good, plenty of public space and a good spa/pool. Grounds were well-kept with lots of flowers and outdoor seating. Catering was generally good but somewhat limited. Rooms were quiet and had the usual amenities. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was convenient for access but not particularly attractive, being more or less on an industrial estate. Overall the place suited us well.
Excellent hotel facilities. We were on an organised tour but if we hadn't there are lovely gardens, deck chairs and catering facilities to spend a lazy day. Our room facilities were very good and clean. Would have been good to have bathrobes and newspapers provided at an extra cost
Service was good from waiting staff generly but rubbish from management/reception. Room did not get cleaned until after 5 o'clock on the second day only after telling reception to get it done. We had vacated the room for over 7 hours to allow for cleaning to enable prep for a wedding. Reception was not at all concerned. Room was small and uncomfortable with a lumpy soft bed and a TV that was not usable for the two days. No a/c and only one of the two supplied fans worked.( & plenty of spiders and webs) Food was good and well cooked. (Chips could be crispier) Bar was expensive and elimited, not very well managed. All priorities were being given to spa customers and a big football party. Never mind the small wedding party (only about 100) Everything was dated and jaded and not very well kept.…
Went there for two nights on 10/06/22 looking forward to unwinding and relaxing in the spa. The decor is dated, and the room offered was exactly opposite to what we requested (quiet location). The reception staff does not have local knowledge which one would expect if you are a new area. The worse thing is, on the second day around 6 pm the jacuzzi was unceremoniously closed (overheating thermostat sighted as the reason) There was a wedding party and wonder whether overuse of the spa may have caused this? The lady at reception asked the GM who conveyed to offer compensation, she even asked how much and I said it is to her discretion. Low and behold in at checkout the same lady (who seemed does not like people of colour) renaged on the promise and said what compensation? Hence my generosity turned into disappointment. At £140/night it is a grossly overrated and unclean place - it is better to stay at a Premium Inn at least it is reasonable and they do not make false promises. Enjoying a jacuzzi does make difference to someone like my friend who has chronic back problems which we did mention at check-in however the management doesn't care. The only thing good is the kitchen, food, and bar staff who performed well. AVOID at all cost in these high cost ogf living, it is certainly not a breathtaking experience…
Big hotel but very little noise, situated in nice grounds with no traffic noise. Lovely big lounges with nice easy chairs. Dining room well laid out with all staff smartly dressed and very smart. Slight issue with the kitchen. Waitress on two nights hand running was asked to change the vegetables to peas. Chef didn’t read it! So meal came out as per menu. Again on both occasions the peas were not cooked! Third night- finally ok. Rooms ok but we noticed some rooms at end of corridor were cold even in the summer. Portable heaters left in room which we used. No newspaper service which they had pre pandemic but have dropped it now- why ?
We booked the Parkway hotel for an afternoon tea to celebrate a family Bridal shower for my daughter. The food was presented beautifully, a good variety of sandwiches and cakes and they even accommodated for vegetarian and vegan members of our group. The vegan cakes were delicious. Tea, coffee & fruit teas were available and refreshed regularly. Thank you to Tristan and the staff serving us, who were very professional, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you We would thoroughly recommend
Hotel has a nice ambiance. Check-in was smooth. Room on ground floor was clean and of a decent size. Breakfast had good variety and plentiful. Swimming pool is 15m. Leisure centre opens at 6.30am but gaining access was tricky as you need to get a pass from Reception which is unmanned at 6.30am. Night porter was very helpful and did his best to help with access but found there were no passes in the Reception area. He rang the centre and banged on the door but to no avail. Eventually got spotted by another swimmer who let me in. On first night a team of teenage footballers enjoyed some shenanigans running up and down corridors, and locking each other out of rooms - the poor night porter has a tough time of it. Getting hold of a taxi for 4 people before 9am in the morning was impossible. Can't blame the hotel. All told a good hotel and I will return.…
Wonderful customer service, nothing was too much trouble. Each and every staff member greeted us with a smile and hello. So refreshing. Food was delicious, hot with lots of choice. A family run business with a passion for top quality customer service. Thankyou, you should be very proud of all staff members.
Beautifully clean, friendly team, yummy breakfast . We are going back . An immaculate room with fabulous facilities, beautiful bedding , rainforest shower .. fluffy white towels and a robe and slippers . Can’t wait to return to this family run hotel.
