Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Arc adventures, a great experience! Attended a day 'taster session' where we were faced with lots of puzzles to solve. The storyline adventure definitely tested our cognitive abilities and teamwork skills. Both physically and mentally challenging, we needed all the clues we could get! Dani and Pete were great hosts, along with the rest of the team. Thanks for a great adventure!

highly recommend this company ! had an amazing weekend with ARC adventures based in a remote location in the Brecon Beacons enjoyed caving , stand up paddleboarding, mountain climbing all wrapped into a puzzle mystery story - where you make the decisions this type of adventure would benefit schools , family groups and adults looking to test themselves the staff are fantastic - would go again in a heartbeat

The incredible team at Arc Adventures delivered a flawless week of activities for our London startup incubator. Real attention to detail in the planning and execution of the trip. High quality instructors lead the adventures with the right balance of safety and fun. The whole team had incredible and like-changing experiences in Wales, all thanks to Dani & Pete and the team.

We had a great afternoon on the water, the staff were amazing and helped us all to try the kayaks, paddle boards, canoes and then the mega board. We all laughed a lot and had a really fabulous experience with them, even the rain and wind didn’t stop us.

A group of 7 friends, we stayed one night of a 4-day walk of the western half of the Beacons Way, on an 'exclusive hire' whole hostel basis. Clare catered for us - dinner, breakfast, packed lunch - perfect ! The YH has all you need in a basic hostel. Arc Adventures' main activity is to run activity weeks for young people who are struggling in mainstream provision. It's difficult to make the hostel viable, which is why it isn't open for individuals, just exclusive hire bookings. Covid disruptions have been financially damaging.

We went with a group of explorer scouts in October. Great facilities and location. Clean and well equipped. Walked straight from the door into the hills. Highly recommend this YHA. Bedding included as well.

We hired the yha exclusively for our group of friends including families with children. It was a fantastic space to share, all the facilities needed to be comfortable and fun for all ages. Equipped kitchen, enough common space, lovely outdoor area, fire pit. We enjoyed local walks on both days in the beautiful unique countryside.

Excellent and never to be forgotten! Push yourself to new heights. We did the family multi-activity holiday run by Pete of Arc Adventures based at the YHA in Llanddeusant. The care and compassion shown by Peter and all the crew was amazing. We pushed ourselves to new limits on resevoirs, streams, rock faces and down caves. But this break was not just about the activities - there was a community spirit throughout, with a night walk and camp fire to make our days complete. It brought back happy memories staying in the YHA and we were treated to three cooked meals a day by Sian, starting with the full English which our 12 year old adored. It was fantastic to be pushed physically, refreshed mentally and to forget about work and the worries of life. Highly recommended.

Just finished a Monday-Friday stay at YHA Llanddeusant. We participated in paddleboarding with other families all on the one large paddleboard (SUP), caving, rock climbing, archery, rifle shooting, axe throwing, kayaking, gorge walking (incl. drifting down the river on your back - bliss) and abseiling! Yes! All of that in just one week. Not going to lie, it's tough at times but the challenge is worth it. The teams that take you out on the activities are brilliant and build confidence. They clearly have a passion for what they do and encourage everyone to get involved. Our group was a range of different ages and abilities from age 6 to 50+. And we all had an amazing time supporting each other with the activities. The food was lovely and it was definitely needed after a day of activities. YHA Llanddeusant is located in a very remote area, with intermittent phone signal if you stand in one spot and don't move, no TV. But there are board games and other humans to talk to and this was just what we needed. The views of the Welsh countryside are absolutely stunning and watching the sheep being moved was an experience too! Thank you to the team at Arc Adventures - Pete, Clare, Inga, Henry, Lewis (hilarious) and Sian (who was an amazing cook). We loved it!
