It was such a great place to stay. We spent 4 nights there and we were sad to leave. The friendliness and graciousness of the staff was refreshing. The charm is endless. The Red door to the village and the lovely church bells, all were mesmerizing. Would highly recommend it. Also the Wine Tasting in the Wine Cellar at Casale...

Cool, stylish rooms in an old gated farm. With a pool, beautiful gardens and terraces with sea views. The staff are very friendly and proud of the establishment. Can walk down hill to beach and sea side restaurants. Not cheap but it was a treat!

This is a very special small hotel. We stayed as a family of 5 (with 3 teenagers) and it ticked all the boxes for all of us. We had a small apartment and could prepare our own lunch (or eat in the hotel). There a couple of small shops only moments away that offer all that you require for basic...

We really enjoyed our stay here and would echo everything others have said about how hard the staff work to make you feel welcome and to make sure you enjoy your stay. Rooms are cleaned every four days with fresh bed linen and towels. We ate here for evening meal on two occasions and enjoyed our meals. Prices are competitive...

I just returned from 5 lovely days at Casale Villarena and am still under its magical spell. The other reviews do not exaggerate. This place is one of those very special, rare gems that you can only hope to find. It is the people that make the atmosphere so special - Guglielmo, Mariateresa, Antonio, and the entire team - they...

It has taken some time for me to get around to this review. It is difficult for me to put into words how wonderful this holiday has been. I can safely say that the three weeks for us at the Casale has been an amazing experience. We experienced several wonderful boat trips (arranged by Guglielmo (the Owner) these were intimate...

One of the friendliest places I have ever stayed. We arrived late at night after a delayed flight. We were offered food and drinks despite the lateness. We had a 2 bedroom room for the 4 of us and it worked perfectly. The small kitchen was ideal for making lunch. There is a local shop a 2 min walk away...

This place is exactly the place that we like to stay: small, intimate and personal. What a find. Nerano is a small village tucked way on the Amalfi Coast and off the tourist trail which makes it the perfect place to relax and enjoy Italy at its best. The garden setting, the ristorante, the staff and the location made this...

In April, while visiting my niece, who moved from Scotland, with her family this year, to Nerano we popped into Villarena Ristorante for dinner. There had been a thunderstorm and the restaurant was therefore quiet. The owner brightened the evening though with his very warm welcome. He chatted away to all of us in perfect English and delighted my niece...

“The upper apartment is the best, but it is, large and is for several people. The smaller, upper level apt. is better for smaller parties. My friend and I stayed in the largest, 2 bd/2bath apt., which was great for 2 friends to have their own bath and own bed. Large kitchen and great patio.”
