A beautiful gem in Nerano. We absolutely loved our stay here, the property was stunning with beautiful gardens and an amazing view. Perfect location close to the start of the walk to the bay of leranto as well as being close to an amazing restaurant in the town (we stayed when the villarena relais restaurant was closed). Guglielmo was very welcoming and friendly. Would recommend this stay to anyone!

Guglielmo and the Villarena Relais staff were brilliant throughout our stay. The food offering was brilliant with a varied menu that offered better food than we had elsewhere visiting Positano or Sorrento. All fresh seafood cooked brilliantly alongside some great wines from the local area. I would highly recommend staying if you want an authentic experience outside the obvious tourist traps (which you can still visit easily).

Wonderful experience. Off the beaten path and every little attention was given to detail from each meal & each excursion. G & his staff are so caring..They make sure you enjoy every moment. The grounds are meticulous and more beautiful than words can describe. If you like a smaller more personal experience, you will not be disappointed. 5 star service and experience.

I have been waiting to experience the Amalfi Coast and had the opportunity to do so. Our group stayed at Casale Villarena for 9 incredible days. Guglielmo and his incredible staff treated us like family from the moment we arrived. Very attentive to all of our needs, going above and beyond to make us feel welcomed, providing us with great, exquisite, custom excursions. I can’t say enough about the amazing food we had each day. We were greeted each morning with a welcoming deluxe continental breakfast with homemade in-house breads, cakes, croissants, fruit, homemade jams and honey, fresh farm eggs, cheeses, tomatoes and expresso. And each night we were treated to a different cuisine, all fresh local ingredients or grown on the premises. From fresh vegetables to homemade pastas, in-house olive oils (Lemon my favorite), wine, pizza, fresh fish, etc. This list goes on and on. As a person with dietary restrictions I have at home, I found that I was able to eat everything with no issues. And the desserts were amazing! Not overly sweet like we have back in the states. The entire Villa was beautifully decorated, and the ambiance was so peaceful. From eating al fresco for breakfast and dinners each night, to a wine and cheese pairing, to a outside Italian BBQ with fresh grilled veggies, and skewers, with music and dancing to top it off. We had a wonderful pizza night as well. Each day I discovered the hidden gems within the Villa. Sitting by the beautiful pool, overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, going up to the garden where for find grapes for the wine, tomatoes, herbs, eggplant, zucchini, and much more. Bountiful of lemon trees surround the grounds. Quiet places to sit and enjoy looking out over the waters of the Amalfi Coast. Waking up each morning to some spectacular sunrises and enjoying our evening meals while watching the sunset and drinking the homemade lemoncellos and wine. Beautifully decorated with Italian tile throughout the villa. And many stairs all around, as I achieved my daily intake of steps. We were taken on amazing excursions each day full of fun and surprises. Guglielmo and his team ensure that each day is had something different planned and he hosts groups on hikes to Jacinto Bay, (amazing) snorkeling and boat trips (my all-time favorite of the trip) along the Amalfi Coast, Pompeii, Sorrento, Capri, and the entire Coast! It’s hard to put into words what an experience I had and would absolutely go back there again. It was truly special, didn’t disappoint and will always have a special place in my heart with great moments and memories. THANK YOU - Gugliemo, and your amazing staff for welcoming our family to yours. This is sure to be a special place in my heart always.

This is my 3rd (one week) stay at Casale Villarena and Guglielmo and his incredible staff never disappoint! They always go above and beyond, providing every comfort, amazing food, in-house made jams, limoncello, olive oil and delicious wines, not to mention the fresh tomatoes and other delights from the garden out back. Guglielmo and his team ensure that each day is pushed over the top with many wonderful surprises and he hosts groups on hikes, snorkeling and boat trips along the Amalfi Coast, Pompeii, Sorrento, Capri, and the entire Coast! There really are no words to describe the incredible experience offered when staying at Casale Villarena...so very special, each and every time! THANK YOU, Gugliemo, Noemi, Giovanna, the other Giovanna, Pietro and all of our wonderful friends...you are simply the BEST!!!

Giovanna at reception is a warm hearted person who helps you with everything you need. All the staff was really nice. The apartment we stayed in was very clean and comfortable. The Villa was at a nice place with a nice view and my kids loved the pool area. I loved all the flowers and cute furniture. It is a 10 minutes walk to the beach downstairs (upstairs it probably takes you like 20 minutes and with heat it is a little exhausting, but ok and the walk to Baia di Lerento starts only 5 minues away from the Villa. The village Nerano is really little, but there are two little supermarkets and two bars at the town square, enough for your stay. We enjoyed out time there a lot!!! Beautiful quiet place!

If you are looking for a quieter option on the Amalfi coast, this is the place for you. Located in a converted monastery, this quirky accommodation provides a location full of rustic charm. We had a two bed apartment located up a small lane from the main complex. The apartment itself was quite basic but the kitchen was well appointed. The pool is an essential for cooling off after day trips to the more crowded towns along the coast. The highlight is the restaurant on site - real quality and personalised service from the owner and Giovanna who runs the reception during the day. The small village of Nerano, behind the Villarena, offers a couple of small shops which are useful if you want to make use of the self-catering option. The restaurant/bar in the village also was surprisingly good. We didn't have a car but used Coops Antonio boat service for trips to Capri and the Amalfi coast. The beaches at Marina Del Cantone are a 15 minute walk from the Villarena (downhill). Be sure to get the bus back up the hill. Sunloungers (for a fee) can be booked in advance at the reception at Villarena. The beach looks like one of the best on the coast and was full of Italians in early August - not as many northern Europeans as other towns. There are also a few restaurants on the beach. This place is a lovely oasis although there is some road noise and the church bell tolls frequently! The views from the top bedrooms and restaurant are of the sea. Wonderful. The villarena also produces their own oil, jams and limoncello - worth a taste and a nice momento to bring back home. The owner is really keen to provide a more authentic Italian experience and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Let me start this review my 1st talking about the incredible hospitality of the owner Guglielmo. I have never had such a tremendous this experience. He bent over backwards for us in every way possible. The most accommodating friendly person you will meet my person and quite passionate about his food and his wine. Don't make the mistake of not going to his restaurant the 1st night Because if you do, everything else will come in 2nd and you will want to come back again and again. Our room was roomy clean with a gorgeous view of the mediterranean. We took advantage of the beautiful small pool and sat underneath the lemon trees. The beach is a wonderful walk downhill for about 15 minutes and the water is pristine. There is a small Marina down there tremendously convenient if you're planning to go to Capri or positano or amalfi. Much easier than taking a 1/2 hour ride to Sorrento. The accommodations here are excellent and the host does everything he can to make your stay meet or exceed your expectations. We met multiple people that are returned visitors as we will be too
