We are a husband and wife family run business set in the heart of sunny Poitou Charante . We are lucky enough to live in a beautiful old cottage, which forms part of several pretty converted farm buildings and an ancient water mill. The 2 gites and bed n breakfast cottages are accessed via our private driveway. There is a large in ground salt water swimming pool. We have large gardens for you to explore on both sides of a small shallow river. Hammocks are placed all over the grounds in quiet places We serve a 3 course dinner (Booked in advance please) in the conservatory overlooking the river.

The perfect place to unwind and de stress. Simon and Sara have thought of everything. Swimming,Archery, kayaking, cycling and pétanque are just a few of the activities available onsite. Gites are clean and well equipped. Our only complaint is that we wish we had booked longer. We will definitely be back.

Spent a great week here. Sara and Simon are the best hosts and they have built a paradise so much to do from Archery to Boole and a wonderful playroom for children. Fresh clean rooms and spacious Gites. A great base to explore France. A 10-star rating.

As Le Petit Moulin is close to my home I contacted them to ask if I they could put on a birthday party for 20 people. They were very understanding and asked about dietary reqts, menu options, whether drinks would be included. All very reasonably priced and the meal on the night was superb. Great service, wonderful, authentic indian food, fantastic location overlooking the river and the atmosphere was perfect. I would recommend this venue for private functions every time

we were a party of 14 friends who rented this beautiful group of gîtes for three for a few days for a 70th birthday party . simon and sara could not have been more attentive. the gîtes are converted stone barns around what once was a water mill and the stream still runs through the mill and turns the wheel. you can do archery, paddle up the stream in quiet solitude in one of the canoes, play all sorts of outside and inside games, go for walks in the beautiful countryside , play with the many small animals (the weather was good but there were plenty of things to do had we been stuck indoors) . probably the best gite we’ve ever stayed in.
