The sludge served to me and to my wife was described as Spaghetti Bolognese on the menu. We did not detect anything in the meals that would be expected at even £5.00 each, never mind £11.95 each as we were charged. No mushrooms, peppers, onions. no taste of garlic. Just an overpowering smell and taste of tinned tomatoes. Not at... More

About three years previously I had paid £75/night B&B. I was surprised to be asked £120/night B&B this time.I queried the price but was... More

The room was fantastic - clean, warm, very comfortable and quiet. It had everything we needed for our stay and a great shower. We had dinner downstairs, the food came out quickly and was very tasty. Would stay again!

Having recently been refurbushed to a very high standard the rooms are beautiful. We stayed in the Henry 8 room with its 4 poster bed and it is very very spacious. The bedroom has a very big bath and a shower. The breakfast was massive with everything from smoked salmon to cockles and lava bread. The only thing that was... More

I stayed at this hotel on the recommendation of a colleague and all I can say is that I'm glad that he did. Recently refurbished everything was obviously new looking but it did nothing to hide the wonderful history of the place. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, from my initial phone call through to my check out. This... More

When looking for a place to dine for me & my family, I was recommended here by many, so we thought we would give it a try! Me & my family visited the recently-opened... More
